Happy 50th Belated Birthday Leatherneck

Thanks for the well wishes...been kind of tied up this morning having been out of the office for a couple of days...Blackberries are nice, but its not the same as being in the office.

Henry spirited me away for a few days to Charleston, S.C. I didn't know where I was going until I made it to Security and she had to give me my boarding pass.

Charleston for those of you whom have not made it there is an absolutely fantastic place. Other than Cincinnati, its the only town I would want to live in (well, other than the wilderness of Montana, but I doubt Henry would go for that).

Being 50 isn't that bad. I'd rather be 60 as that would mean I'd be closer to being eligible for Social Security, but being 50 is better than being 40 from that vantage point. All you youngins don't have a chance of getting any of that Social Security money back that you've paid into the program. The creeking knees will be worth it if it means getting some of MY money back.

Haven't joined AARP yet and doubt I will. Too liberal of an organization for this old fogey.

Thanks again folks. LN

Not as rare as you think Old R;) Welcome to the club LN and be sure to get your AARP card.Happy 50th:dancingpa

Thanks for the vote buck and..............My AARP card came in the mail a couple of weeks ago. :thumb: I prefer to say that we are "well seasoned"vand/or "experienced veterans".

O.K., were old.............:D

Happy Birthday again Leatherneck :ylsuper:

Happy Bday old man.

For the record, you don't look a day over 47.

I don't look old....I look wise and distinguished (or at least that's what I keep telling myself).

I agree 100%!

Also, don't worry about Social Security, you have a new elected official in KY that will tax the daylights out of everyone and take care of the old like you with more governmental programs.

Happy Birthday LN!!!

You don't look a day over 48...:D

Happy Birthday LN!!! Remember............... if you are going to drive the Bird Bus to Papa John's this year and you plan on keeping it under 35 mph, stay in the right lane so that us young types can pass.
