November 6, 200718 yr Woodson is a better passer and overall better QB. Dixon can scramble around and make plays with his legs and create better passes with his running around. I give the edge to Woodson because he is the better QB, but Dixon will win the Heisman. I agree
November 6, 200718 yr The better QB for now? Probably Dixon, the better future? Woodson w/o question. I agree. Dixon is a sensational college QB with an odd delivery, but can make plays with his arm and legs. I LOVE to watch this kid play. He is the frontrunner and should be right now. I would just like to see Andre get an invite to NYC, ... even if it is to watch someone else get the award. He will have to finish strong. However, if Oregon finishes strong and Dixon looks good, it is now his award to lose.
November 6, 200718 yr Andre also has 3 rushing TD's. It drives me nuts that only "rushing" QBs ever have their rushing TD's counted. A TD is a TD. Granted, Woodson also has -123 yards rushing. Woodson is not known as a 'scrambler', that's for sure. I just hope he and the cats finish strong and he at least gets an invite to NYC.

November 6, 200718 yr You guys think he will get an invite? Who is "he?" Dixon? Sure, I'd think so barring a collapse in the next few weeks. If "he" is Woodson than probably not, unless of course they run the table the next 3 weeks and he looks great in doing so.

November 6, 200718 yr The better QB is Woodson. The better college player is Dixon, because in college dual threat QB's are King. He is almost impossible to prepare for. Woodson is a much better passer, and is the top QB in the country as far as getting his team into the right play and reading the defense. Brohm would be the best in terms of pure passing...he is extremely accurate most of the time. Honestly though, I think Dixon will be a steal in the draft, and could end up being an above average QB, with the right situation in a few years. Like if he gets drafted by a team with a veteran QB, and gets to mature as a passer for 3 years or so. As for the Young comparison, he is similar, but is a much better passer, but no where near the complete runner, IMO. Dixon has locked up the heisman if he keeps winning, unless McFadden keeps putting up 300 yards games. Ryan was a fraud. I hope he doesn't even get an invite to New York. The 5 should be Dixon, McFadden, Tebow, Woodson (if he plays well the next 3 games), and Hart, with a big game at OSU. But, Ryan will be there, barring anymore melt downs, unfortunatly. Personally, I feel that Brohm would be more deserving than him. Ryan plays no one. If the highlight of your season is beating an overrated Virginia Tech team, that isn't saying much.

If "he" is Woodson than probably not, unless of course they run the table the next 3 weeks and he looks great in doing so. I agree and we all know that if Kentucky is to run the table versus Vanderbilt, Georgia, and Tennessee that Andre Woodson would have to have off the chart performances.
November 6, 200718 yr Yea let's make fun of someone's grammar, good one... I was by no means making fun of you good sir, forgive me if it came off that way. I was merely pointing out that what you ended up saying was not what you meant. I am not going to try to educate you in the rules of proper grammar, because that is not my job, I was just making sure you were aware of what was said so as to avoid confusion in the future. :thumb:
November 6, 200718 yr I think both are great QBs. And extremly different. Woodson has played 7 really good gaems IMO and 2 games where he simply did not get it done. Dixon has played 8 really good games this year and 1 where he didn't get it done. IMO Dixon, Tebow, and Woodson have had the 3 best seasons this year of all the QBs. All 3 have completely different styles.
November 6, 200718 yr I would take Dixon in college and Woodson in the pro's. I wonder if Dixon will be a QB in the NFL. I wouldn't be surprised if they moved him to a receiver much like the Steelers did with Randel El from Indiana.
