Andre Woodson... 2,431 passing yards and 28 TD's Has had some nice 4th QTR/OT come from behind wins. Woodson has UK at 6-3 with wins against U of L, LSU, and Arkansas.
November 6, 200718 yr Tough call on this one. The numbers are close. Woodson plays the tougher schedule of the two but Dixon has a better record and has helped his team to a very impressive 8-1 with some big wins. Honestly, I'd give the edge to Dixon at this point.
November 6, 200718 yr It kills me to say this , but realistically Woodson, as of now, is out of the Heisman race while Dixon is definitely in the top 3 (if not the frontrunner). I think the best that UK fans can hope for is that UK runs the table in its final 3 regular season games and that Woodson puts up some great stats. If this happens, Woodson could still get an invite to New York, but I don't think he has a chance to win it. Just my opinion though....

November 6, 200718 yr Woodson is a better passer and overall better QB. Dixon can scramble around and make plays with his legs and create better passes with his running around. I give the edge to Woodson because he is the better QB, but Dixon will win the Heisman.

It drives me nuts that only "rushing" QBs ever have their rushing TD's counted. A TD is a TD. Granted, Woodson also has -123 yards rushing.
November 6, 200718 yr How do you compare the two? Dixon is a great college player and is having a magical season on a team ranked in the Top 5. Woodson is a great college player that is styled completely differently than Dixon, on a good not great team, and will be drafted rounds ahead of Dixon. No need to compare. Dixon may well win the Heisman, Woodson will be drafted in the Top 10 to 12 picks. Both winners in my book.
