True, but those guards got all the way to the hoop and that is the problem with zero post defense! No bigs around the hoop to protect it.

November 14, 200718 yr He shouldn't be desperate. LY, we learned from so many posters on here that the name UK alone brings recruits in. LY, we learned from so many posters on here that the only reason the recruits weren't coming to UK was because of Tubby and his style of play. LY, we learned from so many posters on here that BCG is a maniac at recruiting. So putting the 3 together, post players are going to beat down the doors at Memorial to play for UK. That is happening, isn't it?

November 15, 200718 yr Singleton wouldn't have been the answer in the post, but he absolutely would have relieved enough pressure on Patterson to give them time to find the answer. The fact is that Gardner Webb's defensive plan was to pack it in and dare a big not named Patrick Patterson to shoot from the high post. Singleton could have nullified that strategy.

I mean I admit one of Tubby's problems was recruiting, so I thought that might have been the reason why we couldn't find any good big guys. But it seems Billy G. is having his own problems as well. So who knows what the real problem is. As you said you really would think, that these big guys would see immediate playing and would want to come here...
