You don't think Carter has a pro future?

Although I joke about Carter, he does seem a little more ahtletic and bound to make somewhat more of a contribution than Woo or the Shagadellic Sensation.

I am not sure how many stars either of them had, but both played (Magloire still does) in the NBA.

 

I don't know there star qualities either but I was just saying that Coach G doesn't have to get a 5 star center to be successful. There are a few on here that was really hammering the kids he was taking a look at. Coach Pitino didn't build his team around a dominate center, instead he liked to build his team around good shooting perimeter players (which it seems like Coach G is doing) and he liked long front court players (the long 6-6, 6-7, 6-8 players). I don't think it is some kind of great mistake to take a look at some of the centers that Coach is looking at.

I agree with you on the ones that we have gotten lately. I think if he can pull off getting Singleton and Carter gets healthy or Williams develops that we will be alright on the inside with Patterson being able to hold his own. Or, Coach G might get say a 3 star center or another big strong power forward then everything will be alright because with the guards that he is signing and already has, teams will not be able to play the post defensively like they have been.

I almost believe the same thing happened in the 97 season. Magloire was starting early in the season and Mohammed later on. I do know by the end of the year Mohammed was a more effective post player.

This can't be right because Turner was put in the starting lineup late in the year and Epps went to the 2guard.

Magloire is one of my all time favorite players.

I don't remember Epps playing the 2.
