November 15, 200718 yr Not sure where you get that he's a C. He's good, but will he ever qualify??? Grades would be a concern but Bridgeton usually does a nice job of getting kids eligible. West Coast kid.. Scout has him listed as a PF/C, with emphasis on PF. Any serviceable PF/C would fit bill. A stretch but nonetheless...some schools that were on him and offered are booked up ala Washington and I believe UCONN.

November 16, 200718 yr No, I did not forget Epps. Nazr missed a bunch of free throws late, but he had made shots and plays when it mattered on the floor to keep us in the game. Epps may have missed some, but I remember Naz getting ripped for it.

So, Coach Pitino didn't need a 5 star or even a 4 star center to win a national title and be runner-up the next year. That was what I was getting at. Coach Gillispie doesn't have to have a 4 or 5 star center, he just has to have someone that is willing to work hard, be a team player, and be willing to get better.

Coach Gillispie doesn't have to have a 4 or 5 star center, he just has to have someone that is willing to work hard, be a team player, and be willing to get better. I am not sure how many stars either of them had, but both played (Magloire still does) in the NBA. I know Magloire was the most sought after Canadian player (take that for what it is worth :lol:) at the time.
