October 6, 200719 yr I am definately a UK fan, but I normally cheer for U of L in every other game and I must say that I'm disappointed with the product they've put on the field this year. After 5 games, its hard to come up with legitimate excuses. They flat out stink on defense and that's pretty much the bottom line. I agree 100%. After 5 games you should be able to SEE some improvement, and you can't.
October 6, 200719 yr I agree 100%. After 5 games you should be able to SEE some improvement, and you can't. This wasn't exactly the Utah team that Urban Meyer coached. And Syracuse?
October 6, 200719 yr After watching every single game in great detail, and re-watching most of them...I see two very glaring problems....1 - is the fact that Bobby didn't recruit a good punter, anywhere, that became an issue in last night's game, 2 - the d-line is extremely out of shape....they can not play a full game....it is real bad, how poorly conditioned they are. I actually think the DB's are getting better, but when you don't pressure the QB, it's tough to cover guys so long.

October 6, 200719 yr I've tried to be patient with the whole defense situation, but IMO, after 5 games, there should have been more improvement than there has been. I just don't know what the problem is. I hate to say it, but I really dont know if UL will even be bowl eligible this year.... Here's my thing: Whatever happened to all this depth we were supposed to have on both sides of the ball? We were being told that while losing key guys would hurt, the pain would be buffered by the depth the Cardinals had recruited at every position on the field. The defense looks like Kentucky's did before Brooks shored up their depth — monstrous drop-off after the first-stringers. I don't want to be "that guy," but I have to wonder about why this team has gone from the penthouse to the outhouse in just one short coaching step.
October 6, 200719 yr Brohm is putting up HUGE numbers, throwing for 366 yards, 555 yards, 467 yards, and U of L still can't win games. Last year in Brohm's first 6 games he was 102 of 162 and had thrown for 1,623 yards, 5 TD's and 3 INT's. And Brohm was 6-0 as a starter ( he missed two games ). This year Brohm comes back for his senior year in hopes for a national championship and the Heisman and Louisville won't even win the Big East or come close to it by the looks of things. I don't see how Brohm has thrown for 2,415 yards and 20 TD's and Louisville is 3-3.

October 6, 200719 yr Sign me up... I am 42 with knees that are shot, a bad lower back, and have been physically beaten down from years of shameful neglect to my body overall, and still I feel I could have a chance at playing safety for UL.

I'm just spitballing here but I think it might have something to do with the 122 points that the Cards have allowed in those 3 losses.

October 6, 200719 yr Is UofL REALLY going to go forward with the stadium expansion? I live in the metro area and listen to the local radio. I just don't think they are a program that can support 63000 + seats. Am I off base? UofL fans?

The uncovered receiver on the fake field goal was horrible!
October 6, 200719 yr I could only watch parts of the game last night...thanks goodness...because I couldn't handle the little I saw. I am shocked is all I can say. However, I will continue to support UL regardless of record because that is what a true fan does. I can now sympathize more with UK fans...going through half of this season is hard...can't imagine it this way for years.
