October 6, 200719 yr Well I have not watched every game or every play, but I would say that UL has more glaring problems than the punter and the D'line. They do have a high powered offense, but the defense is poor, and so many players have been in trouble, as well as injuries. Everything is going bad for UL right now. I don't know if they can do much better than just get bowl eligible. They may not be able to get bowl eligible. That would be disappointing but not the end of the world. I was naive in believing that this coaching change could keep the momentum going without a hitch. That said, I refuse to throw Coach K under the bus until he starts really utilizing his kids. Other than that, it makes each game an adventure, which sometimes I would rather not have...
October 6, 200719 yr Isn't is like $20 a game currently? No....let me go look at the face value of my ticket...
October 6, 200719 yr Rock, I know you are probably sitting behind your computer thinkin I am being a complete BUTT right now. You know I am a UK fan. I think you have to admit its time to take a deep breath and a step back to reflect. UofL is what, 3 years into a BCS conference. Very little tradition of success and the recent success. Don't you think it is at least warranted to reconsider the expansion? Bush, Brohm, etc aren't always gonna pipe through that program. UofL may be a solid player but how can you justify that much money for a 7-5 team?
October 6, 200719 yr Because, they have the ability to become better....heck they can still finish this season with something special...will they? Who knows....they have been going up up up...and I still think their future is very bright....I personally am for them to build it. If they feel that now's not the time, I am down for that as well.
October 6, 200719 yr Why not have a packed house at 42000 as opposed to a somewhat empty 50000? Who says it will be empty at 50K? There are no guarantees either way. The beautiful thing is, that neither of us have a real say...
October 6, 200719 yr OK. Look man, you are probably my age (25) and I know how neat is to have a team you can take pride in, etc. But you have always been a level head on this site. Just think about how this season is setting up for UofL football program. IF things keep going poorly, Jurich might see the need to move on. Where would that leave the program? Would is still be smart to expand 20000 seats? Like I said. I won't try to pretend to be unbiased, but this is gutcheck time for UofL. They had a great run the past two seasons. I guess I am peppering you because I am not really sure if it would or wouldn't be a good move to add on. I just think circumstances have changed and it is probably time to at least reevaluate.
October 6, 200719 yr ^ Sure it is...anyways I am 30...I like to think I have a level head, and am football savvy, that said....this "down tick" for Louisville is a glitch, it is not a sign of the future, Tom won't allow otherwise. I am not worried about the future of Louisville football...

They could've played with ANYBODY that year.
October 6, 200719 yr The safeties played fine last night. That was actually more of a "insert defensive position here" comment than a comment on the play of the safeties per se.
October 6, 200719 yr Brohm is putting up HUGE numbers, throwing for 366 yards, 555 yards, 467 yards, and U of L still can't win games. Last year in Brohm's first 6 games he was 102 of 162 and had thrown for 1,623 yards, 5 TD's and 3 INT's. And Brohm was 6-0 as a starter ( he missed two games ). This year Brohm comes back for his senior year in hopes for a national championship and the Heisman and Louisville won't even win the Big East or come close to it by the looks of things. I don't see how Brohm has thrown for 2,415 yards and 20 TD's and Louisville is 3-3. That is all this season has come too. Let Brohm throw 50-60 times a game. Gotta find a way to pay the kid back somehow for coming back to this mess.
October 7, 200719 yr The heat must be really turning up in Louisville. Jurich declined an interview with ESPN, last night. All face time when things are going good...ducked the Sports Leader last night.
October 7, 200719 yr 2004 was my favorite year for the Cardinals. Why does everyone discount it? Was it because they were in CUSA? They could've played with ANYBODY that year. Probably because the best team that they defeated that year in the regular season was Memphis. And that they had to play in the Liberty Bowl and beat a Boise State program by 4 that at least one UL poster called a "friggen joke."
