October 1, 200718 yr What if he is found Not Guilty? This is still America, INNOCENT until proven guilty in a court of law. Are we rushing to judgment a little early here? :thumb: Thank you. Lets see what happens in court. Sometimes we forget that it is entirely possible that the boy is innocent. And if he is proven to be guilty, 18 year old kids often make bad decisions. Should he not be given a chance at redemption? Lets dont always be ready to throw kids this young under the bus.
October 1, 200718 yr I can't claim this one but... This gives new meaning to "give me the rock." IF this was a professional athlete I could see a joke like this but this is a HS athlete. I don't see the humor in it.

I haven't seen where anyone has disputed the fact that the kid had cocaine in his posession. That alone is a felony. This is more than a "bad decision". This is a criminal act. Innocent until proven guilty only applies in court. Public opinion doesn't have to abide by the same rules.

October 1, 200718 yr If he was Joe Schmoe who skateboarded would it be OK? Not if it was a young kid. It was a professional that makes a killing off of the public then sure say all you want but I don't think it was appropriate for a HS athlete.
October 1, 200718 yr If he was held back at one time like most athletes are nowadays, wouldn't he turn 19 sometime this year?
October 1, 200718 yr Just relaying the scuttlebutt. You think it was the first time he had crack on him but was smoking marijuana? What is the crack for? Distribution? Ah...very first time he had done this????? You really think so? What is the superintendent going to say? He has a long history of discipline problems at school? He legally can't. He is just doing his job. It was the Scott County officials who had him arrested. I didnt say it was the first time for him to be dealing in drugs. I think that is pretty obvious with what occurred last week. I have no idea, but I am sure he has smoked his share, and its probably not the first time he had coke on him. What I was talking about is that he has generally stayed out of trouble in school. Outside of school, I dont really know, but I hadnt heard of him actually getting into trouble. I'm sure he was doing things that could get him in trouble out of school or this wouldnt have happened. I'm sure the kid has been called down in class or something like that, but any big problems? No, there havent been. Sorry to disappoint you...
October 1, 200718 yr Im not even going to go in to the fact that very very few people know Bud and many are speaking out about him and dont really know whats going on. But I will say everyone needs to hold on with the assumptions and what will happen because I truly believe the trafficking charges will be dropped and he will only be charged with possession

Report says arrested Scott athlete was delivering cocaine at school
October 2, 200718 yr You know what I'm more concerned with. Getting these drugs off the street. So I'd have to ask Mackey to disclose information (hopefully he'll get an easier deal if he complies). I would want to know what his source was, where the product was distibuted, and how it got here... That way at least you could eliminate a major ring that we all know goes on in the KY.
October 3, 200718 yr After further review I will just say this, I just hope Mackey gets things figured out. Hopefully he will learn his lesson and do his part, and at some point in his future he will get a scholarship offer.
October 3, 200718 yr And then again maybe not. Report says arrested Scott athlete was delivering cocaine at school From the info I am getting, this is correct, but not in the way many think.
October 3, 200718 yr From the info I am getting, this is correct, but not in the way many think. Any way you look at it, it is still trafficing:confused:
October 3, 200718 yr Any way you look at it, it is still trafficing:confused: I meant to preface my statement with that, and got sidetracked. That is what I meant. It doesnt really change anything, but as I understand it, he wasnt dealing.
