I don't condone to the sales of any drug but selling rock cocaine is much worse than selling marijuana. Hopefully the young man learns a lesson, making money off of a drug that destroys lives, is a very selfish act. He's endangered a 100K opportunity to succeed, when will some adults learn?

 

As I have stated before, Mackey was not the one selling anything. He is still definitely at fault for having it in his possession, but he was not a dealer.

Is it true that Mackey has plead guilty to a misdemeaner and will be without a record? If what I hear is true Scott County may have their star back in uniform.

Hopefully the school steps in and makes the right decision to not allow him back in uniform. I wish Bud the best but he needs to suffer the consequence of his actions.

Wow, most people in the state are worried about this kid (I know he is 18, but he is obviously still a kid) and what will happen with him, hoping he will get his life back together and that he can make some huge changes in his life. Then you come on here and talk about Scott County fans making excuses for not having him.

Not a good statement the booy is in a lot of trouble , as he should be. I think that Scoot co has enough talent to over come this.

As I said early on, hopefully he will get turned around. If it takes jail, missing basketball, alternative school, whatever - sometimes life lessons are hard.

 

I very clearly remember a Mason County player who was not permitted to play during the entire 2004 state tournament - for being out past the city-imposed curfew. I wasn't a BGP member back then, but I imagine the commentary was interesting.

 

And I'm pretty certain that Scott County will manage to fare very well. Someone will step up and fill the void; that's a hallmark of great programs.
