NKYMSBL 8th grade finals Sunday night at 8PM! Girls are at Sharp!! No closer gym available at a better hour?

St. Pius and Turkeyfoot meet in the finals tonight. Two schools that are about a mile apart, take the 45 min drive to Sharp to play at 8PM! Wonder if they will share a bus??

Thanks, Brady Highchew is who you mean and he is a very good player. I know NCC may be the obvious but a little birdy told me you just never know.

I know Fardo was a stud as a player wiht the NKY Irish a couple years ago.

What about Carter New (Kenny Shields' grandson) ST. Catherine Sienna? I know he was hurt most of this year with a football injury but another little birdy told me he has his schedule of classes booked up at HHS. He will be a very good point guard for the Frosh team next season and they certainly will need it.

Andy Miller is another ST. Catherine player who could go either NCC/HHS and I think he goes about 6'1 and is very aggressive.

Not a chance he goes to HHS...I know his dad very well and Brady will definately be up on the hill..

IHM won the 6th grade tournament

Twenhofel won the 7th grade. They lead the whole game, by around ten or so, it easily would have been a blow out if they could have hit some foul shots.

Tanner Norton played a great game tonight.

Three Rivers played thier butts off and made it very interesting late getting it down to a 3 point game late before Twenhofel was able to open it back up.

St. Mary 7th Grade Saints win the 2008 7th Grade Diocesan Tournament 39-21 over St. Joe, Crescent Springs. Justin Saunders led the Saints with 13 points. Jordan Frommeyer is amazing with his ball-handling, passing, and decision making skills and he is complimented in the guard position by Ben Uebel. This team plays extremely well together and are fun to watch.

St. Joe, Crescent Springs defeated St. Joe, Cold Spring in a nail-biter 43-40 in the 8th Grade Diocesan Championship game. The Cavs bigs combined for 29 of their 43 points with Connor Cleves putting up 18 and Nick Kanter logging 11. The Cavs connected on 11 of 13 from the free-throw line which proved to be the difference in the game.

Both games were played at Brossart High School and broadcast live via the http://www.bmustangs.com website where the broadcast replay is presently available.

Congratulations to all four ball-clubs!

I think the majority of the of the middle schools have finished their season. I would like to take this time to say how much I enjoyed the BGP general discussion forum middle school basketball thread.:D Nearly 1000 posts and over 19,000 views.:dancingpa

Any word on the Girls NKYMSBL championship games played at Sharp last night?

The corbin 7th grade team should be one of the top teams next year. The 6th grade team only had one loss all year.

I'm sure that they lost a few games, but should be even better next year since one of their best players had to sit out the mandatory year after "holding back".

Is he a guard or a big man?

Future, I've been hearing some rumblings about Gover AND Dishman transferring as well. Any truth to this?

Kudos to everyone that has participated in this thread. Now over 1000 posts and over 19,000 views. Great job just to keep it open. What is the record?

Congratulations to all the teams and to everyone that has posted on here this season. Up here in NKY there are some really strong Middle School teams as well as across the state. Its nice to hear about what is going on down in different regions so we can watch the kids progress.
