September 24, 200718 yr Cincy may be as GT said a year away. They are playing awfully well now though and it would not suprise me if they make a run this season. With a defense like the Bearcats have they are always in it. JMO and as far as the Big East goes....GO BEARCATS!

September 24, 200718 yr One thing that has been HUGE so far is the results of punter Kevin Huber. He punted 3 times last night with an average of 59.7 yards per kick. On the season he's punted 12 times for a 50.1 yard average with 5 kicks landing inside the 20 and only 2 touch backs. Pretty impressive leg...
September 24, 200718 yr The first year of the "New" Big East (2005), USF was in the title race until the last week of the season, when they lost to WVU. I see no reason why UC can't at least challenge now.
September 24, 200718 yr UC has to KEEP the local talent in Cincy. Cincy has some of the best high school talent in the country hands down... problem is there is a school up I-71 that likes to take it, and other schools as well.

They will not compete this year , as GT said, and I do not think they will be a serious contender in the next 2 to 3 years. Rome wasn't built in a day, right?

Slaton and White are Juniors, but I have a feeling that Slaton may opt for the NFL. By the way, UC fans, sit back and enjoy this growing part. To me, it's the most fun.
