September 24, 200718 yr I think Rudi is pretty good, but I won't argue that he's overrated. Rudi has been a nice fit for Cincy...a guy who can pound and grind and complement the passing game. He's never been an elite back in my mind, because he isn't a big play threat...a big play for Rudi is 10 yards. I think he's durable, which has been his biggest plus both personally and for the team (because of their bad luck with other backs). Combine his durability, with the fact that the Bengals have had a good line and an explosive passing game, and you have a guy who puts up consistent numbers. Any solid back who could stay healthy for 16 games could have put up Rudi's numbers in Cincy's offense...if they'd had an elite back, then look out. All in all, I like Rudi and sure wouldn't point the finger at him.
September 24, 200718 yr Tough thing is already being 2 behind the Steelers. Are we talking wild card only 3 games in? Yes, unless people think they can win the 4 remaining games in the division.
September 24, 200718 yr Perhaps your kicker can share some of the blame with his gaff at the end of the game. You are correct. He simply tried to overkick the ball to get the touchback. I can't blame him for trying because the kick coverage is terrible. You would think that a professional kicker would be able to put the ball in the endzone when he needs to.:madman:

Was he trying to kick it to the end zone or was he trying to place it like he had been earlier and it simply took a bad bounce?
September 25, 200718 yr Palmer had a poor game by his standards as well. He overthrew guys at least 10 times. I have to agree... I'm guessing chad is not happy.
September 25, 200718 yr I didn't see the kick. Was he trying to kick it to the end zone or was he trying to place it like he had been earlier and it simply took a bad bounce? I think I heard he was trying to directional kick it to the left side. It was a duck hook, that made some of my tee shots look good.
September 25, 200718 yr I know Rudi has not done well at this point, but does anyone think it could be on the O-line?
September 25, 200718 yr I have to agree... I'm guessing chad is not happy. Really? After ending a potential scoring drive at the end of the first half with 2 drops?
September 25, 200718 yr I think I heard he was trying to directional kick it to the left side. It was a duck hook, that made some of my tee shots look good. That's what I thought. Lets give him a slight break. He got the instructions to directional kick because there is zero confidence in the abilities of the other 10 guys to stop the returner. You take chances to cover a weakness and sometimes you get burned.
September 25, 200718 yr  Ok, I will agree that Cincy will probably take 1 of 3 in the Pitt/Balt games, but to think that they will run the tables on the rest is very funny. Lets check the schedule. # Week 1 # Week 6 Chiefs 10/14 1:00 # Week 7 Jets 10/21 4:05 # Week 9 Bills 11/4 1:00 # Week 11 Cardinals 11/18 1:00 # Week 12 Titans 11/25 1:00 # Week 14 Rams 12/9 1:00 # Week 15 49ers 12/15 8:15 # Week 16 Browns 12/23 1:00 # Week 17 Dolphins 12/30 1:00 I see at least 3 loses, from either getting out played or giving wins away. That my friend equals 8-8 season!:sssh: You got to remember for the last 8 games of the year they will have Chris Henry (the steeler killer) back. Not to mention if Chris Perry can stay healthy he adds another dimenstion to this offense. Leon Hall will get better with more experience as the year goes on. Ahmed Brooks hopefully will be healthy by then because he does help the defense out alot. Just the whole linebacking crew is hurt right now. So assuming that people get healthy, and with the 2nd part of the schedule being easier, it really isn't that hard to believe the Bengals can win all those games you mentioned. Because I mean honestly I think you would even admit that the the bengals are better than those teams and should win...
September 25, 200718 yr Really? After ending a potential scoring drive at the end of the first half with 2 drops? Man you really have been getting on Chad these first few weeks...
September 25, 200718 yr Man you really have been getting on Chad these first few weeks... Are you telling me those two drops in the first half aren't a problem? Did the Bengals not need the potential FG/TD? Or, in our fantasy league mentality, are we simply looking at total stats and then deciding if someone helped or hurt the team? I like Chad. He has had two weeks where, at key times, he's dropped passes. I hold him to a higher level than Glenn Holt.
September 25, 200718 yr Man you really have been getting on Chad these first few weeks... Dropping passes when you demand the world look at you in spite of your teammates is cause for alarm, don't you think? However, to me, what is worse is how he turns around and shows Carson up every time a ball isn't thrown on the money. Bush. When he scored against Baltimore and ran past his team-mates wanting to celebrate the 6 waving a finger, only to get onto the sideline and do his stunt...all the while why the Bengals missed the PAT (of course, oblivious to Chad who was busy celebrating himself) -- that was it for me.

First doesn't Henry have to apply to get back in and I don’t think that is a gimmie by any stretch. Ok, maybe those teams don’t look too scary right now, but wait to the second half to see how they are playing. Next, did you not see the last 3 games of the year last year? I am sure you would have said that the bengals were better than all 3, but we all saw how that turned out. Last, Did your mom or dad ever tell what happens when you assume something?? :sssh:
