You know, I actually had forgotten about how bitter that rivalry was between T and Eastern, but looking back, these predictions make a lot more sense.

You may be right. Coming off a respectable loss and gaining national ranking could put the Rocks in a euphoric state (as opposed to the state of KY;)).

Players at this age tend to look at and believe the press clippings more than the Coaches want them to.

I don't think Trinity will be in a state of euphoria or any other state (except Kentucky). I believe just the opposite, that Trinity will come out "loaded for bear" after coming somewhat close against Cinti St. X. Trinity knows all about the QB - Ferguson - from having played against him in the past. I truly believe that T will in no way overlook Eastern and will in actuality put a hurtin' on them.

Beatty may still have the starters playing with the score 71-0 and 2 minutes to go in the ballgame. This one will be UGLY! :scared:

 

Have to agree with you Ox, Eastern is at the top of the list. I bet Beatty will try to make this as ugly as possible. Lucky for Eastern that we play X next week. The starters will come out earlier than would be if our following opponent was not X.

I know the Rock's Staff does not have to resort to sophmoric means to inspire the team......but it may be a nice touch to tape to every locker a photo of the principle in question..........but then again the kids probably do not know who the gentleman is ......................

The fact the running game didn't work against the Bombers, the point of emphasis this week may be to have Tim and friends run, run and run some more. Ferguson and his teammates may pay the price for Trinity's frustration. Trinity has won 29 of 31 (93.5%) versus the Eagles since this series started in 1977. The Rocks in a landslide....or rockslide if you prefer.:thumb:

Trinity will want to work on a running game so I don't think the score will go too high. Eastern is not a bad opponent. T needs to be ready and go to work on Friday night. I'll say 30-14 Rockos.

Rocks will definately work to regain the running game that Cincy X took away, so instead of quick strikes through the air, it will be quick strikes on the ground. Superman could run for over 200 yards...

The Rocks are still stinging from the game in Cincy. Poor Eastern, that they have to take the brunt of the Rocks lingering anger. The 45 point rule will go into effect before halftime...No offense to the Eagles.

Trinity has a certain foe up next, and it is only human nature to have one eye on the big game ahead.
