People, from past experience, you all take this stuff to heart too much. X won T lost, there are no excuses, Maybe since the game is over and attitudes and anger are coming out, we need to shut the thread down. JMHO

I taped the game and I can show you tons of times where Glaser was out on the field trying to work the refs or moaning about a call. Thats what he does good is he works the refs for his favor, if you're around X this week, tell Coach G that there is no such thing in high school football as an uncatchable ball on a pass interference. Also those yellow shirts were nice, i thought the tour de france was in town

I dont want to hear excuses, in St. X's scheme and the way they do things there is no excuse for that type of play. Your alls defense played great, but with the exception of about 3 plays, you have to admit, Manual contained Deuce and Zoeller very well. The game was close because both teams played great on the defensive side of the ball. I dont want excuses for the special teams, everyone knows that catholic schools play good sound discipline football...

heck of a game by both teams, but the last time i checked, coach nichols played and graduated from Providence...in what, 89? 90? 91? I dont think he was out there playing tonight and winning or losing the game. You take away 3 or 4 plays for X....we got OT or a manual win, but those were there, good game X. I think many of you have to agree, Deuce doesnt break that long run at the end, hes under 100 for the night.... i mean gotta have hats off to the Crimson Defense on that. X, good speed. Your coach needs to stay on the sidelines more though, he loves working those officials too much, If i were a ref, which thank god im not, glaser would have been out of the game on some of those coming out on the field to the hashes to argue a call. But anyways, give credit where credit is due, good game.

I am not born yesterday and can read between the lines of a quote and infer something off of it. There may be knowledge of catholic families and thats fine and dandy and Jerry Mayes could remember names like crazy, he had a database in that brain of names of people and pictures of faces... but I infered something else from that quote, just my opinion

Did anyone see the shot that Glaser took at Manual today? Its the "R" word... Something to the effect that glaser knows a lot of those kids because they played catholic school ball? Just thought i'd point that out, but a counter to that is... oh wait, Cant even go there.... Here is the actual quote... ..."Glaser said. I just love the weeks manual and st. x play. There are more X and T people here crying poverty than I dont know what. Plain and simple here it is for all to see and read.... X won the JV game that is fact. Opinion, the resources are not there in Jefferson Cty to do such programs. I know this as a teacher in the system. You say it takes commitment to do it, well yes it does, it takes a lot of commitment for a seperate JV fresh and Varsity team to suit up. It takes money to pay coaches that is not there. Budget issues are always a concern at the High School level, much less middle school. There simply isn't money there to support a middle school football program in the public schools. I am not going to debate Private/Public because I could care less right now. With the NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND ACT, our wonderful President.... George (I will refer to him as that as I refuse to even say he's my president) There are funding cuts in education across the board to finance a war thats unjustified and leave people in Louisiana homeless after a catastrophe. There is no money folks, thats why class sizes are up because there is an ever growing population and schools are over crowded. There need to be more public schools in the city of Louisville because of an overcrowding issue and a high student to teacher ratio. If you dont believe me, PM me and I will send you a 15 page report that I did for a class about the education of America and how we are not progressing instead we are digressing with footnotes included and you can read my position. That being said... X won the JV game.... do your thing there, jump up and down you won a JV game and lets get ready for the freshman game and Varsity game... BTW its a 6 tomorrow night at X! People, the only reason I see this board on here is that each person pays $15 to state their opinion...An X fan is not going to change one of a T or Manual and vice-versa You just cant. X people love Glaser, T People love Beatty, Manual people love Nichols, and his coaches. Whoever invented this site is probably taking in a lot of money right now for people to gripe when you can goto a bar and do that for free and put back some cold ones as well.

The whole manual staff is full of upstanding people. If Coach Glasers gripe is that he raids the catholic leagues, I dont know if he does or not, dont really care either. I can tell you this about Coach Nichols, he doesnt care what you think about him or his program he puts everything into it and his players play hard for him because they love him. Not only do they love him, they love his other coaches and the staff he has assembled there. That staff is an awesome group of people and players remember that! Now on the topic of Nichols going into the catholic leagues...Wouldn't he be mad or have a gripe if Glaser came into the optimist leagues and got players? Isn't that vice-versa type stuff? I dont know what goes on nor do I care, but it seems that some people who favor a certain team don't think about that and that its okay to raid a non catholic league for players. Im trying to avoid a breach of rule 13, i didnt say the R word! You people before you start making judgements about nichols or glaser or any other coach need to get to know them first. If you get to know them and think they are scum then thats your opinion, dont go on hearsay be a man and find out from the person, go talk to them or meet them or something before you talk about the person they are or what they do because half of the time you are completely wrong.
