This reminds of the time I got kicked out of Hooters for wanting to breast feed.

She should have been asked to mooooooooooo-ve

I wonder why she is not breast feeding in that picture?:p

They gave her a towel???? A SHEET would have been more appropriate..breast feeding or not!!!!!

Somebody is going to show this story to the kid when he grows up and he is going to be completely humiliated...

Why couldnt it be Pam anderson? I think the women in the picture was on Hee Haw."Lou Lou" I think was her name.

Because silicon isn't very nourishing?:D

I'm all for breast feeding, but not in public. Do it behind closed doors with you and your kid. If you're going out, and you know you're going to have to feed your little one, pump it, and put it in a bottle. No-one wants to be eating dinner, and seeing a baby hitting from the tap in the next booth, no matter how attractive the woman is. :creepy:

There is nothing wrong with breasfeeding in public. It can be done very discretely and matter of factly. This woman was clearly looking for a fight. She was crass and obnoxious.

Keep in mind that Applebees did not ask her to stop breastfeeding, but to merely use a blanket. Not too much to ask.

To say "pump it and put it in a bottle" sounds like someone who has never breast fed. It is not that easy. I would rather sit in a restaurant by someone disretely breast feeding than by someone trying to make an infant use a bottle he/she is not used to.

This chick can't eat at Applebees anymore - and she better not fly Southwest....

...or proud.

I won't be eating at Applebee's anymore. Ashame, too, because I liked their Weight Watchers menu. My wife cannot control when our son gets hungry anymore than she can control the weather. She carries around a little thing called a "Hooter Hider" for him to eat under, and we usually try and get a booth in the corner, but if we're going to get stares and uneasy looks from servers than I'll take my business elsewhere.

Now, of course those of you that know me know that I believe Applebee's has every right to make whatever rules they choose, but in this case I think they're asking for a legitimate lawsuit and think the policy is unreasonable and overbroad.

The comments about the way this woman looks and the presumption that she is an attention hound are jaded and crude and reflect poorly upon those who made them.

Their is always a balance between rules and freedoms. I don't think asking the woman to be more discreet is asking too much. The woman made more of it than what was there. They didn't make her stop. They probably received word from other people on how she was presenting herself. It's all on how you do it.

Breastfeed because you are giving your child the awesome nutrients and to bond, not to get attention.
