September 6, 200719 yr Is this the best front page news the Herald Leader could come up with? I also think it's gone a little too far, they didn't ask her to leave just cover herself with a towel doesn't seem like an unreasonable request to me.
September 6, 200719 yr a towel doesn't seem like an unreasonable request to me. I agree! :thumb: Whats the big deal with covering up with a blanket. I myself DO NOT what to see that while I'm eating my "Bourbon Street Steak".
September 6, 200719 yr I could personally care less if someone is breastfeeding or not, but I think if Applebees doesn't want it in their restaurant they don't have to allow it.

All of these rules that people push for in restaurants are insane. Its a private establishment; they should make their own rules. If they don't want breast-feeding in their restaurant, that can be their rule. If business suffers, that's their loss. Something tells me it wouldn't, though.
September 6, 200719 yr Wouldn't have been an issue if she was easier to look at... :walk: I think we all know where the towel should go...
September 6, 200719 yr This story make me queasy on a few levels. I doubt Applebee's had a towel large enough. :sssh:

September 6, 200719 yr In about 10 years this kid is going to have his friends showing him archived articles about this. Let the teasing begin...
September 6, 200719 yr I think breastfeeding is a natural and wonderful thing. I am not in any way offended by it and if this woman is comfortable with it, I think we can look away. However, she was obviously looking for a confrontation on the issue and it is unfortunate for Appleby's that they are caught in the middle.
September 6, 200719 yr The lady behind the story is the perfect reason for Applebees banning breast feeding.
