September 6, 200719 yr The late 60s and early 70s were my formative years also. I've had to, on several occasions, use the "do as I say, not as I did" routine. :thumb: :thumb: I am bonified member of that union as well.
September 7, 200719 yr I think our prom theme was something by Richard Marx not sure of the song title.
September 7, 200719 yr Ours was "Just Once" :irked: Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap or Highway to Hell would have been more appropriate in my opinion.
September 7, 200719 yr The story of the oung of our senior prom (or maybe it was Junior prom) kind of ticked me off. We were given a list of three songs to vote for, but the fools failed to put who the artist was that did each song. So when "Tonight, Tonight" was on the ballot, half of the class assumed it was from West Side Story as opposed to the actual song by Smashing Pumpkins, and therefore passed. So they ended up picking something like "Here's to the Night" by Eve 6 I think. That's an alright song, but Tonight, Tonight by the Pumpkins would've been SO much better IMO. I'm impressed that half your class had even HEARD of West Side Story...!
September 7, 200719 yr It was a song by Diana Ross - I normally liked her, but did not like this song. Maybe that's why I can't think of it.
September 7, 200719 yr Moody Blues' "Knights in White Satin." Not sure why I remember that, except that all the Seniors wore White Tuxedos. Ahhh, have to love the 80's. Pink shirts by chance? Pink cummerbun?
September 7, 200719 yr Memories by Barbara Streisand. I was cool in crushed velvet white tux with black trim, and my platform black shoes with white teardrops stitched in them. The 70's were too much fun. PLEASE tell us you have a pic to post!
September 7, 200719 yr I think it was "You Look Wonderful Tonight." Not really sure though. That was our Theme song also back in 1982. Seems like only yesterday, LOL.
