I know Simon Kenton played a make up game with Conner on Monday. I had heard that they also have other make up game(s). If this is true I would imagine that todays game is a must to try and fit it in. From the forecast, the weather sounds like it is just going to be down right nasty. This could turn into an interesting evening for these two teams.

The forecast I saw showed little chance of anymore rain until late tonight and some sun and wind will help dry out the field. Play ball.

Beechwood 30 Newport 15

 

Beechies come out after the half with a new look at the QB and RB positions. BHS marches down the field with an air attack that takes the nine lives out of the Cats. In short, the Beechies score 21 points in the 3rd to allow the 2nd team to finish it off in the 4th. Newport, lacking a 2nd team, scores with 1 minute left in the game against the Beechies #2 on the depth chart. Looks like the Beechies are brewing something nasty for Halloween. After all, these frosh have some big shoes to fill next year, so for them, hopefully the spell lasts a few years.

Being a small school, Beechwood has to come out with 11 studs each year. How else could they compete with schools 5X thier size?? But, the beechies do have some quality specialty players... too bad they lost to NCC twice.

Boone County moved their game with Scott to Scott. Scott didn't want to damage their field for the big matchup with Dixie Friday night so the game was either cancelled or postponed, I haven't heard which yet...
