The University of Louisville's football game at the University of Kentucky on Sept. 15 will be televised live on ESPN Classic at 7:30 p.m. ET, as well as on local stations in the two school's markets. WHAS-TV in Louisville and WKYT in Lexington will also carry the ESPN Classic telecast live. The local stations are also permitted to produce their own pre-game, halftime and post-game productions.

It is the Cardinals' seventh game this season which has already been selected to one of ESPN's family of networks.

I still think so. Exposer is reduced, it just isn't as bad as it could have been.

Are there truly that many football fans that don't have a way to watch this on ESPN Classic that would watch it anyway? On top of that, 95% of the people that don't watch it will catch it on SportsCenter anyway...

They'd still be 'exposed'...

It doesn't have nearly as much to do with it being on ESPN Classic as it does with it not being the only game in town.

The reasons for moving the game still have to do with "losing" the game. If UK were winning every other year, it wouldn't have changed. That make them chicken.
