No pity here... too many decent highschoolers never get the opportunity that was afforded to Jefferson. 1st, funny post. 2nd, this is a microcosm of what is wrong with American society. Flash is in and doing the right thing is out. We have created a society where there are no checks and balances, there are just balances. Too many people expect someone else to give them something. Too many people feel like they are owed something. Hard work is looked down on, and the Grillz and the glitz and the glamor is to be attained. Since we, as a society, don't want to work for things, we take short cuts. Oh yeah, we don't want to reward hard work either as manual labor jobs are outsourced. We are in major trouble. Now a "spoiled" athlete is bad, and it should be a wake up call to every person in the community who rides a kid's jock for being able to score 20 pts in a game, as if he were curing cancer. This should also be a wake up call to us a society. We create this situation, we now have to deal with this situation.
June 1, 200719 yr $20,000 bond seems high for B&E and felony theft. I agree, unless he had prior issues in juvenile court (that we may not be privy to) that influenced the judge's decision.

I agree with you 110%. A highschooler just does not get him or herself into trouble of this magnitude. I am sure there is some history and that is probably the reason for the high bond. I am just disappointed in UK for not "flushing" out Jefferson's shortfalls during the recruiting process. It's time to reward the athletes in school who also happen to get good grades and happen to be an asset within their communities.

Imo this backs up what I and others have said on previous threads about (if it had been U.K. or OSU we would have multiple page by now) . I know that there are more U.K. fans on bgp than U.L. and everyone has a right to post on whatever thread they so choose. Just that there are a lot more non U.K. fans ready to jump on a U.K. problem than fans are wanting to comment on the U.L. problems. Hmmmmmmm :sssh: I wonder............. :lol:
