I saw an article at work today saying retail sales are down. I believe 2% what seems like a low percentage is probably a boat load of money. Fuel cost is being blamed. If we can all continue to cut back and keep the sales down, Walmart and friends will go off on Washington. Someone will then do something.

We're getting very close to the adjusted for inflation all-time high set in 1981.

81 was a big year for us, however I haver no recollection of the gas prices from then, and I drove a gas guzzler.

Yes, it really is $3.49 in northern kentucky!!! During the 90's if somebody told me we would have gas prices at $3.49 in 2007 i would have told them they were crazy. How high can the prices go 4,5,10 dollars?

You rich Ft Thomas kids!

No car in Burlington for ol' CSHS in 81.

It dropped from 3.15 back to 3.08 today in Paducah

I think it was around 3.16 in Lexington today...

When I left my house at around 11:15pm tonight gas was 3.18 still at the Speedway on 10th street in Newport. I made sure I filled up earlier because Im pretty sure when I get home from work in the morning that it will be at 3.49.

Yea I had a 73 Pontiac Grand Am that I bought for $600. Don't remember the rich part though. BTW scored 3.09 last night at UDF Wilder, right as they taking the prices up. Shame when you feel good about 3.09. Mrs Crunchs car uses premium only. Ouch!

In Claysville(Harrison County)3.16 in Cythiana it's 3.16 Mt. Olivet 3.39, this is crazy.

I heard on the news this morning they're goin' to investigate the gas companies for price gouging. A few months to late IMO.:fight:
