Keppinger and Livingston? Strong.

I have heard a lot of good things about McBeth. Throw him in the 8th and deal with it for a few days...

Obvious concerns with Valentine behind the plate.

Evidently, team ERA with him catching is not so good.

They showed it tonight at the start of the game. ERA now over 5 with him starting. lol

BRING BACK LARUE!

I got to see McBeth in person on Saturday and think he can be a valuable asset to the team but at this point it wouldn't take much.

Saw a blurb on ESPN that Cowboy is on the DL.

Catch the Fever!!!!!!

I think you can get an inoculation at your local doctor for that fever.:p

Well, I coach a minor league team of 7's,8's, and 9's and man, I get frustrated going over the same things with some of the kids when others get it. However, I come home, watch the Reds and feel soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better about my kids!!!!:thumb:

On a sidenote, I am now firmly of the opinion that we may have had the opportunity to have witnessed one of the greatest baseball players of our generation in Greg Maddux. His pitching numbers speak for themselves. He may scare 400 wins before he quits at his rate. But no one in my lifetime has fielded the pitchers position like him. No one! He is basically another infielder. He must be a joy to catch. He hits spots like no one I've ever seen. Offensively, he's a threat with the bat, because he worked on it. And can anyone remember the last time he was unable to move a runner via sacrifice. Am I a Greg Maddux fan? Well, I hate the way he's owned my Reds over the seasons, but to deny just how special a player he really is would be denying any true knowledge of the game. Kudos Mr. Maddux!:thumb:

Between Sunday and Monday, the Redlegs went 10+ innings without a hit.

Bob Ueker's "Die-Hard Night" comment from Major League keeps reverberating in my head...

Reds have a better record than two ML teams. The Nationals and the Royals - the two teams that were pencilled in before the season started as their league doormats.

Opening day seems like it was a long, long time ago...

I'm a Padres fan living here in Kentucky. I listen to the Reds when I can. They have a perfect opportunity during this series to make a deal for some pitching. San Diego has some pitching to spare. Linebrink, Meredith, Heath Bell, Clay Hensley, any of those would be a nice pickup for the Reds. San Diego needs more middle lineup punch, I think Cincy could part with a hitter, even a guy like Dunn, to shake things up.
