I think the championships or bust is a little strong.

What irritated UK fans to no end was the style of play?

You could tolerate it with runs to the Elite 8, but you combine that with two years they have had...the water becomes toxic.

BTW, add Rick Barnes as being another coach very interested in UK.

Calipari has already been working the back-channels.

Crean told Pat Forde he would crawl to UK, add Barnes to the hopper.

I hope UK is attractive to at least one successful coach.

Sounds like Eddie Sutton's comments.

Gainesville has NEVER been involved with hurricanes.

Fair enough...But what is he supposed to say? How can he say that at the current time he's focused on winning another Title, without "hopeful" UK fans saying that it sounds like he's not looking towards the future?

After having suffered through this with Ricky P for years, I have come to the conclusion that the proper answer to the question is "No, I'm not interested and will not take the job and will refuse it if offerred." I have no interest in UK." Of course, in RP's case, that didn't mean anything either.

Gainesville has NEVER been involved with hurricanes.

I was referring to the entire state of Florida in general; with Charlie and the like. I also doubt that he would make his decision on the weather. Only joking.

Fan support? What do you think Tubby would say to that?

There is a lot of good thatn could come with being the UK coach...but a ton of bad as well...Tubby is proof/positive of that.

23,000 fans show up every single home game, and cheer for the team every single game. UK always has a ton of fans at tourneys, because UK fans LOVE and support their team....there's more fan support at UK than most schools out there today.

RP... how can you say UK is not an attractive job? Wowza

The UK job is not attractive to any successfule coach out there today.

Few will not even get a sniff...if the chips fall that far, they will hire Ford or Pelphrey before Few.

ESPN radio reported this morning that schools have been contacted to ask permission to talk with both Crean and Few.. Looks like he will get a sniff after all...

Answer this question. What can UK offer that Florida can't?

^ and that would be stupid...as they aren't close to as proven.

It may turn out to be their only choices.

CRAZY basketball fans and Ashley Judd. Maybe they balance each other out.

ESPN likes to create their own news. Katz has those as his top two so those are the two that ESPN will focus on. I don't see Few as the next UK coach. Crean maybe. I still say Gillespie is the best fit.

 They need Ashley to be present during contract talks, maybe wearing that hocky jersey.

Maybe few does not get the job, but I bet he get an interview and I would call that a sniff...

I wouldn't be surprised if Few turns down an interview request. In how he has handled himself, I don't think he wants the craziness that surrounds UK basketball.
