Some of you UK homers are a joke. The UK job is not attractive to any successfule coach out there today. There are false expectations, from a program that isn't near what it used to be. Why would Donovan want to come here? Even the weather doesn't compare.

What is not attractive about being paid top 5, possibly top money. A state of the art practice facility. Fan support. Numerous resources at your disposal, more than many other institutions out there.

Point blank of Crean or Calipari were offered they would be at UK.

Are expectations by U of K fans really that much different than Indianna, NC or Kansas? The "Elite" jobs are not that hard to fill with quality people. UK will not have to go to Div. 2 programs begging someone to come and take 2 million a year to coach here. You're wrong, RP. This is still a desireable job for many top coaches. Win and you rule the roost here. Lose, and it's what have you done for us lately. Just like the other example schools. Coaches know what is coming with the territory, just like Tubby did. He was here before and knew how the fan base was. He knew what Rick had done and came in anyway.

Tubby has more than his fair share of supporters out there but are drowned out by others.

Tubby was treated rather well if you ask me...to a tune of about 2.5 million.

You could tolerate it with runs to the Elite 8, but you combine that with two years they have had...the water becomes toxic.

 

BTW, add Rick Barnes as being another coach very interested in UK.

Right. Florida has devastating hurricanes each year which cause millions of dollars in damage to homes and much suffering. Billy could avoid all that and come to Kentucky and just have mild winters and spring flooding.
