He turned down an extension after last years run, because he said it wouldn't be right for him to cash in with his stars all turning down the league to come back for another year. He's up for a big inflation of his paycheck, regardless of anything.

that or he was waiting on the UK job to open up ;)

You have to admit, it doesnt sound bad either for a UK fan hoping....

If you're a hopeful fan, you can twist anything he says to make it sound the way you want...

And if your a UK hater you can do the same...;)

Billy Donovan had more wins before he was 40 than many coaches, including Coach K, Roy Williams, Syracuse Coach, and Jim Calhoun... if he comes to Kentucky, he may join Adolph Rupp.

But of course, he could do that at Florida too.

And besides, isnt hope what makes us get up everyday? Would you want to get out of bed if you knew without doubt things would never get better?:p

Fair enough...But what is he supposed to say? How can he say that at the current time he's focused on winning another Title, without "hopeful" UK fans saying that it sounds like he's not looking towards the future?

I'm being objective here. If you're just trying to view the world thru Big Blue shades, that's cool, and I won't rain on your parade. I understaind the need to remain positive. But I will say that OBJECTIVELY speaking, you're reading too much into a lot of stuff.

He'll always be numero 2 at UF behind the football coach though...

IN NO WAY WILL I BE LEAVING THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA would have been an ideal answer from a coach not planning on going anywhere, but thats just my opinion, what do I know?

He shouldn't have to deal with media asking him about the UK job while he is still in season, and trying to defend his title...He shouldn't have to say anything regarding the matter, and what he did say, IMO, was appropriate.
