March 22, 200719 yr I wish nothing but the best for Tubby but WOW, this is going to be a blow for recruiting right when UK needs a good class. I hear Tom Crean, John Calipari both hated by the local media and Cardinal fans are top of the short list. Anyone close to the program with any inside? I hope it is Travis Ford personally, I hate Tom Crean and John Calipari and it would be hard to root for them.

Good luck to Tubby, I thought he was a GREAT coach but sucked at recruiting, lets move on, saying the Cats are set back 15 years is obsurd, basically the same as saying UL football would sink when Petrino left town

March 22, 200719 yr I know this is a tough day for many that supported Tubby but how does this set the program back 5 years? I have heard a few people say that on here and I just dont see it.The last 2 years have been dismall and 3 out of the last 4 years UK has been sent home in the 2nd round of the tournament. 1) The race and irrational fanbase cards will be played by the national media as well as every other coach in the country, when dealing with recruits. 2) The program is going to be in a state of disarray next year with no solid freshman, most likely no Morris or Crawford, and possibly no Meeks, Jasper, or Stevenson.

Ok here I'll chime in, UK may lose there program over this, they won't even be able to field a team next year, UK will be an NAIA school in 5 years Give me a break:rolleyes:

March 22, 200719 yr Like I've stated before, I don't believe UK can do better than Tubby. I think it's sad for them to let it get this bad where he would pick up and leave for no more money.
