March 22, 200719 yr Tubby Leaves for Minnesota. Now I guess Kentucky is for sure not going to get Patrick Patterson or Jai Lucas. I think I would still be happy with this decision whether Patterson & Lucas decide not to come to Ky or not. Now maybe some others will starting coming to Ky next year! Now new coach whoever you may be lets "start pressing & get the fast break rolling"!!!
March 22, 200719 yr I bet he will be happier...:sssh: Minnesota hasn't made a Final 4 in just about as long as UK!
March 22, 200719 yr I think it's pretty funny how this thread died all of a sudden and everyone is on "Who will be UK's next coach?"
March 22, 200719 yr A percieved racist state running off a black coach, this is goign to get interesting. Just like the Notre Dame situation two years ago. That seemed to blow itself over. If anyone wants to play the race card on this, let them. As we have stated, race was a distant third for reasons that UK fans were not happy with Tubby's COACHING. I don't believe anyone can question his character or person.
March 22, 200719 yr Oh well, no dwelling, lets move on, get a good coach and start a new chapter, lets hope we go after someone young, doug gotlieb just said on ESPN radio that UK will at least talk to Ricky P, how crazy would that be if he came back?
March 22, 200719 yr In all seriousness, I think it's terrible how Cats fans, for all intents and purposes, ran him out of town. I'm embarrassed to be a UK fan today.
March 22, 200719 yr Minnesota hasn't made a Final 4 in just about as long as UK! I hope that changes with Tubby, I think the UM fans will love him.
March 22, 200719 yr This is going to be a huge blow. All these people complaining about not winning are going to be in for a big surprise over the next couple of years. I wish Tubby all the best at Minnesota. He deserves to have a program who appreciates him. He has been a class act at UK.
