Bart Rison retires as coach at Montgomery Co.

Featured Replies

I was told Hatcher was close to retirement and Montgomery wants someone who is going to be there for more than 5 years. Makes sense.
Hatcher is four years from being able to retire, from what I'm told.

but he could do a lot of good things in 4 years.

but he could do a lot of good things in 4 years.
He won two regional titles in his first four years at Marshall County and did the same thing at Graves County.

We need to get UKPat02 in here to talk about Perry. He has an interesting opinion of him.

Interesting opinion??????

Curtis Turley is on the way!!!!

that is why I think Montgomery should have re-thought not interviewing him. He could have put them at the top in a short time.

Just going by the way things have happened at Mont. Co. not getting an interview could be a good thing  .

No seriously. What is the timeline, has anyone heard? I dont think that baggage is an issue so much with this job, quality of character and quality of coaching to me is the important issues in question here. Leave the guys with baggage alone. Everyone has skeletons in the closet, sometimes a new begining can be the begining of something great for a person.

Montogomery will hire a good person, and that person will also be a good coach. They have quality administration, you can never make everyone happy with who you hire,

Agreed. Good point.

I'm going to guess that the hire is made by the end of the day. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks. I suspect that 2 people are left maybe 3?

Two

Looks like a 4A school is going to put their program in the hands of a first year coach. Probably not the best idea.

I'd say that depends on who the first year coach is...
