March 10, 200719 yr Both of us have specifically mentioned the center field smoking section for a reason. It's seriously a slap in the face to not be able to smoke there. I feel like a leper. BF apparently thinks the same of smokers. It's not kryptonite. I'm not saying I want to smoke at my seat (I have in empty upper levels) or anywhere where it would affect someone, but I will if I have to be forced to hide it. The section by the river is out of the way, ventilated, and basically perfect for a smoking section. In the State of Ohio the voters voted to ban smoking in public. It is quite simple, the majority voted to ban smoking....end of discussion.

The people sanction this stuff. This issue(smoking in public places) was taken to the ballot, and voted on by the people. It was done the American way.(Democracy) The voters have spoken. It's time for the smokers to get over it.

It is against the law in the State of Ohio to allow anyone to smoke in a public area. It was voted on by the citizens and registered voters and passed by a majority. What part do some of you not understand? It is against the law of the land in the State of Ohio to do anything but ban smoking at GABP.....The people have spoken......

I would rather breath the smoke. their flab in my paid for space doesn't affect my health... Heres the problem, I go to quite a few Reds games, and sit out near the centerfield section that is in question the most. I often walk right through that area behind the batters eye. I don't want to walk through the remnants of your cigarette smoke. and when there is one smoker, there is many, so its not like I can avoid it. if you have to walk through that section you have to walk through smoke and frankly, I don't like it. I don't have a problem with tobacco, but I know someone that once smoked but stopped and took up dip and chewing tobacco. Why? direct quote "When I dip, at least I am only killing myself, when I smoke, I kill everyone around me..."
March 10, 200719 yr We're not trying to kill everyone around us, just help reduce everyone around us risk of alzheimer's and parkinson's along with other diseases.
