Patrick Patterson/Jai Lucas rumor

I have known for a fact that UK was and is Patterson's first choice, and it has nothing to do with Tubby remaining the head coach.

Really??? All the quotes from Patterson on the issue say otherwise....

When does he have to make a decision?

I would say if he was sitting behind the Gator bench chomping yesterday you have no way of knowing what he thinks now. That is, unless you've talked to him in the last 24 hours.

LSURock reads a post on catspause from a guy that says PP was sitting behind the Gator bench doing the chomp and all of sudden it's fact?

His quote in the paper indicated otherwise. Either the reporter misquoted him, made it up or you are mistaken.

His quote, posted in another of the 500 threads on firing tubby, said that Tubby was the reason he was looking at UK and Tubby not being there would be an issue for him.

LOL, Not the past 24 hrs.

What one tells the papers is one thing, and what is really on their minds is another, just ask OJ & Co. :sssh:

Well, I have never seen nor talked to him so I can only go on what he has said to the papers. And that is what he said. I am in no position to say what he said in the papers was a lie.

I think a kid wants to be a part of a winning program first and foremost. To be on a team that can challenge for the title. To have a chance to win a ring. That is why the saying goes, "nothing succeeds like success". It would have been better for the Cats to win today. IMO.

I understand your point. But if your Patterson you also probably are going to think that Florida will lose a lot next year, all 3 of their post players and Brewer more than likely. Florida will probably drop off some. While at UK, the parts are there to be very successful next year, but there is one piece of the puzzle missing. That piece could definitly be Patterson. Throw that in with the idea of playing with Jai Lucas and I do think going to UK would make sense.

There will be room on the post for PP if he decided to go to Florida. Who wants to play for the team that loses?

So you can help them win. Wouldn't you want to challenge yourself?

I think the fact that UK is the only school they both have on their list speaks well for us.

I also read on Catspause that in addition to Patterson "chomping" with the Gators, the whole family was cheering for the Gators dunks and his mom was wearing a Florida jersey. Ouch.

Come on you know how these recruiting things work. That is what goes on when guys go to visit.

Word out of Huntington High, where I have a family member that teaches, is that PP is down to Duke and Florida.

BUT his father is a HUGE OTS fan and if Jai gos to UK his dad will drop the hammer and so will PP

:thumb: That has been rumored for a long time now. The only problem is Lucas is kind of low profile and no one knows right now.

Scout has written a couple articles about Lucas since he's been to UK, I dont know what they said, anyone have any info on him?

by Rob Gidel @ 2:55 pm.

According to four fans sitting rows behind and several media members from the Scout.com network, after several timeouts in which the student section chanted his name, Huntington (W.Va.) standout Patrick Patterson acknowledged the crowd by standing up towards the student section and doing the Gator chomp; smiling and waving in appreciation. Patrick sat behind the Gator bench during the UK-UF contest. New York Knicks forward David Lee was also in for the game. Lee was arguably the first recruit to choose Florida over Kentucky in history. Coincidence?
