Patrick Patterson/Jai Lucas rumor

According to four fans sitting rows behind and several media members from the Scout.com network, after several timeouts in which the student section chanted his name, Huntington (W.Va.) standout Patrick Patterson acknowledged the crowd by standing up towards the student section and doing the Gator chomp; smiling and waving in appreciation. Patrick sat behind the Gator bench during the UK-UF contest. New York Knicks forward David Lee was also in for the game. Lee was arguably the first recruit to choose Florida over Kentucky in history. Coincidence?

He did the Gator chomp at Rupp Arena as well - which means, absolutely nothing.

That tells me how high he is on the 'Cats...I can read between the lines, and whatever way you look at it Patterson doing the Gator Chomp doesn't bode well for UK.

Do you really think it doesn't give any insight whatsoever as to where he may end up?

^By the way, I'm not saying he'll end up at Florida, but I can't think of any other recruit who was cheering for the other team at a UK game and then signed with the 'Cats.

So you can help them win. Wouldn't you want to challenge yourself?

Florida won't be loaded next year. They'll be down. PP will be the next Horford/Noah.... not a compliment to them.

Drama = more attention

LSURock reads a post on catspause from a guy that says PP was sitting behind the Gator bench doing the chomp and all of sudden it's fact?

Want me to define the word if for you????????????????????????????????????

So when Patterson does sign with the Gators, since he's been the target of the entire state the last 2 months in hoping he'll be a wildcat; does that mean he will take sole possesion of the role of most hated Gator?

It is pretty widely reported that "PP" and family were in attendance. His activities were also widely reported. One poster said that even though he hated to report it, he saw it covered on the sports news in Lexington. So its hardly a case of "a guy". I have no reason to doubt it, do you? If so, why?

Not the entire state. Some of us do not think he is as good as advertised. It wouldn't break my heart to see him go to Florida and underachieve.

If PP does head way south, then that may quote doom for Tubby. IMO, disgarding a deep run in the tourney I think Patterson and Lucas may be Tubby's only safety net left.

I see what you are saying, but I've never really heard of Patterson being a glory hound.

Maybe someone spilled some O.J. on him.

I think so, too.

I've been saying that since before the season started.

I'm just gonna take a guess at this but I would say that him underachieving is still more production than we've been getting out of the players we have at that spot since Hayes. Perry has had some nice games latley but that could end thursday for all we know.
