Assignments Grundy has gotten tasked with this Year: Walker Craig (Rock), Leek Ateny (DCA), Carson Fraley (Pulaski), Higgonbotham (MC).  Really, an undervalued attribute to this Somerset team’s succes

I think Kole has the potential to make the big league one day.  Special bat and pitcher!

45th is a dog fight for seeding. Every team in that district can beat any other district opponent on any given night.

Danville with the proverbial 1 game beat you twice.  Tough to comeback after an emotional crosstown let down.

Danville was up 5 with 2 minutes left. Garrard got a three, Danville hit 1-of-2 from the line, then the Lions' freshman Ryan Noe hit a three to tie it with 20 seconds left. Danville attempted to run a play to win, but Garrard stole the ball beforehand then ran a play for Sam Montgomery who scored a layup with 2 seconds to go to make it 57-55.

I disagree. Have to give Garrard some credit. They beat Danville twice this season.

Two games in a row Danville didn't finish.

Excited for the district tournament! Should be a doozy!

I would agree with 4 of these teams.  Although, I do think the gap is closer this season to DCA.  The other teams have to proof they can get that done.  Outside, looking in I think Boyle presents the biggest challenge with their size and athletes.  Super competitive district tournament, that will be fun to watch!

That's a big time win for GC!  Danville has had some gut punch losses this season.

There was a rumor floating around that Pendygraft had been ruled eligible to play basketball for Boyle.  Is there anything to it?

They just put the stats in. He had 6 points and 8 boards.

Agree with Boyle's inside game.  Driver is the best true post/big man in the region.  Adding Pendygraft will help with that also.  Past Driver though this team is not very athletic at all especially with the guards.  In order to win in the post season teams better be able to play good man defense and have good guard play.  That is Boyle's biggest weakness so far.

Yeah, those were the two I was talking about.  I haven't got to watch them live yet.

Somerset went to McCreary Central and handled the Raiders fairly easy.  Kole Grundy played great defense on Higgonbotham.  He’s been a really good defensive stopper this season.  They will travel crosstown tom night to essentially play Pulaski Co. for the 47th 1 seed (Assuming they jump the .8 difference in RPI with a win).  Should be a dandy!

Somerset did indeed jump Pulaski in the RPI.  But man, they've got a difficult schedule down the stretch:  at Clinton County, at Southwestern, at Wayne County, Boyle County and Southwestern at home.

Pulaski doesn't have as many games and they aren't easy ones either: Wayne County at home, at Southwestern, and Lincoln County at home.

Since all district matchups are finished, final RPI numbers after Sunday will determine the seeding.

Thank you for the information.  I did not know that it worked like that.

Garrard over Boyle in OT 61-57

That was at Boyle.

What about the teams that still have district games next week?
