Yes he played last night. 

Wayne won 82-71 at Somerset Christian last night. No Ryder Bell for Wayne and no Hensley for SC. Wayne led by as many as 19 in the 4th but it was a 5 point game at the half and fairly close throughout. Phillips ended up with 33.  Jack Baker shot the ball great as well but not sure on his total...20+ I'm sure.

Hensley could be long term as well.  I’m sure it was tough to bounce back so quickly and play same team after beating them so bad in first meeting.  SCS is a very tough venue to play at too!

Somerset went to McCreary Central and handled the Raiders fairly easy.  Kole Grundy played great defense on Higgonbotham.  He’s been a really good defensive stopper this season.  They will travel crosstown tom night to essentially play Pulaski Co. for the 47th 1 seed (Assuming they jump the .8 difference in RPI with a win).  Should be a dandy!

Assignments Grundy has gotten tasked with this Year: Walker Craig (Rock), Leek Ateny (DCA), Carson Fraley (Pulaski), Higgonbotham (MC).  Really, an undervalued attribute to this Somerset team’s success so far this season.  It says a lot about the kid’s coachability accepting this role being a division I baseball commit.

I love any time a kid is a D1 athlete in another sport and still plays his heart out. Such a throwback anymore. Props to him!

I think Kole has the potential to make the big league one day.  Special bat and pitcher!

The Somerset/PC game could be a good one.  I’d say it will come down to which team plays the best three point defense.
