72-63 final Cats win. This makes 5 in row in SEC league play also a much-needed win with the next two at Vandy and at Arkansas.

A win is a win is a win.  It's been ugly, often, but gotta take whatever you can get.

When they threw up the graphic that said it was their 15th straight home win over Ole Miss, I wondered if the last loss was the one they lost on Valentine's Day under Tubby, and sure enough it was.  Ole Miss has won at Kentucky one time in the last NINETY-NINE years.

Travis Perry played only 10 minutes with 0 points and 2 rebounds he was 0-3 from the field all of them were 3's.

Besides for about 4 games. This is pretty on par for how he has done at Ole Miss. If his shot isn’t falling, sadly he doesn’t really bring much to the court. Which today I’m glad his shot wasn’t falling.

It still hasn’t been pretty, but at the end of the day winning is all that matters. As this team has now stacked some wins together. Keep building confidence and keep it going!

Jasper Johnson has really started to now figure out the college game. His game is similar to Dillingham. Obviously not as good as Dilly was, but he plays a similar way.

We saw it for a few minutes, but I would love to see Pope go with Aberdeen, Oweh, and Johnson together on the court more often. Those three are you best playmakers and can all get to the rim. I honestly would love to see Pope go with a small lineup at times and have four guards with those three and Chandler all on the floor together. Unfortunately he is very similar to Cal in regards to always wanting two bigs on the court. I just think it would be a good change of pace in spurts going with a 4 guard lineup and Moreno.

And now we return you to your previously scheduled Snowpocalypse.

Ugly win but another win so I will take it. Cats definitely didn't get a lot of calls their way. Moreno played hard despite not playing well on offense. He had a great effort all day.

Certainly not a good day for Perry.

Because Travis Perry wasn't good enough to play for UK last year? Then he decided to leave? That is the facts. What is the blame on UK for that? They gave him a chance and it didn't work for him.

I'm wasn't blaming anyone.

Maybe I misunderstood. Are you a UK fan? If yes, why would you root against UK because Perry left the program?

UK shot 36% from the floor and 30% on threes but still got the win. Ugly it was.

I am most encouraged at their play in the last four minutes of games. They have really improved on that.

I also wonder how much higher that percentage might have climbed had Ole Miss not fouled on a kinda absurd amount of layups and dunks.  They made Kentucky earn it at the stripe, but I felt it was an abnormal amount of fouls there.

On the flip side, some of the fouls on dunks, Kentucky needs to be stronger and get those dunks in.  Moreno in particular had a couple that he blew as he took contact.

Moreno is not strong enough for SEC play yet. He needs a couple years in the weight room.
