Maybe I misunderstood. Are you a UK fan? If yes, why would you root against UK because Perry left the program?

Yep, I consider myself a fan of UK, along with all the other college and university programs in the Commonwealth.  I'm also a fan of Kentucky high school basketball.  I'm declining to respond to the remainder of your question.

A win is a win is a win.  It's been ugly, often, but gotta take whatever you can get. When they threw up the graphic that said it was their 15th straight home win over Ole Miss, I wondered if the

72-63 final Cats win. This makes 5 in row in SEC league play also a much-needed win with the next two at Vandy and at Arkansas.

Just my opinion, but I was disappointed that BBN booed Travis Perry whenever he touched the ball.  Maybe once at intro then treat him like any other opponent.  But, too continuously boo our Mr. Ky Basketball was classless and beneath the way most of BBN would like to be perceived.

Mr. Basketball and all time Ky. HS scorer, shameful.

I don't mind either way. But if he wanted to be treated like a star he should have stayed at Kentucky. He could have graduated only averaging a few points a game over 4 years and they would have celebrated time like he was a first team All American.

You would be correct if you went back a few years, but we're now in the new era of college sports.  This is what the NIL and portal has done to college sports.

He could have stayed. He chose to leave.

From the outside looking in, you are correct.

Agree. I don’t understand the booing at all.

With the top teams completing their SEC games already the Cats are currently in 3-way tie for 2nd place with Arkansas and Florida.

I support Kentucky basketball, but their fan base rivals Ohio State football and LSU baseball for being rather hard to take. That young man was the toast of the state when he played at Lyon County. With the way college basketball is currently he realized his opportunities in Lexington were limited. He did what was in his best interest. Stay healthy and good luck young man!

Agree. Even as a lifelong UK fan, the 18%ers irritate the heck out of me. Those 18%ers were booing Perry yesterday. Why not root for success for a Kentuckian no matter where he is? He shares his roots with us.

LexHerald article this afternoon said the boos all came from the student section.  Sorry Travis, we hated losing you, but we all understand and wish you the best in every game but when you play the Cats.
