Brandon Smith has been one of the best offensive players in his class of 2029 for quite sometime now. Last season as a freshman CCH only used him on Varsity for safely defense, but look for him to have a huge sophomore season on both sides of the ball. He is a big and physical target for Courtney on the outside at WR. I am looking forward to seeing more of an air attack from the blue colonels this season. He has been hitting the camps this offseason and looks to have added some size as well. This is a talented roster and I believe they will surprise some people this season.

I agree it is a close call.  I expect Beechwood to be very good but unless they are much better in the trenches I don't think CCH is a favorable matchup for the Tigers.

On Ryle, biggest unknown in NKY to me but they should have plenty men on the field.  Are we going to see anything close to the last two years?  Or to be fair, anything close to last year from the Raiders?

Regarding the uniforms- I do wish they brought back the old logo/unis. Classics. 

A guy I know is a ref up in Cincinnati. Graduated from Moeller in the mid 90's when CCH and Moeller played every year. He works in graphic design and text me these concepts a little while ago. Thought they looked pretty slick.

I've always liked the addition of COV CATH on the chests of the unis since they switched to the new helmet designs. The loss of the red accents in the unis is a shame. If folks wanna argue that red's not a school color then idk how they excuse away playing in all black unis LOL. The design of the current helmets is completely pedestrian and uninteresting, which is huge shame considering they used to have one of the most identifiable helmets in the state. These unis with the old helmets would get my thumbs up.

Those pants are basically spot on the ones we played in from 1983 through 2001, albeit we had blue belts. I definitely like that concept - a lot, actually - but I'm not sure if I would go with the white collar and white cuffs on the sleeves, or if I'd leave them the same blue color as the rest of the jersey. I'd probably have to see them in person to decide which I liked better.

They need to bring this logo back!

Beechwood has struggled the last few years against much worse line of scrimmage play than what Cov Cath is going to be rolling out there this year. I would be shocked to see a Beechwood upset. 

Ryle on the other end, whipped up on the line last year vs Cov Cath, brings 2 huge starters back and their best player, Max Parsons, didn’t even play in the game if I remember correctly. I know Ryle loses a bunch of dudes, but that feels like it is going to be extremely competitive with how good their OL should be.

It is always about the line play for Beechwood, and it almost always is a size challenge. Beechwood rarely lacks high level skill position talent but is always looking for more size on the line.

For Beechwood bringing in Center Scotty Lozier from Cooper was a very underrated move in my opinion. He was a starter for 2 years, and from what I’ve been hearing he’s been looking unbelievable so far at practice. He will anchor that interior offensive line. As for the other 4, they return 2 starters in Shaw and Brockett. I expect Lozier to elevate that entire group to a new level.

Senior OL/DL Jonny Lind committed to Army today. His conditioning and effort being a two way starter for three years is as good as you will see on the high school level for a lineman. Very fitting he ended up at West Point and he will have a huge senior year!

Freshman OL/DL 6'1 265 pounds Lincoln  Wickiser will be a good one.

The Freshman OLine is no joke.  Big and fast with some working at Black Sheep and Nevels year round.  Legit…..Cline, Howard, Thom, and Trowbridge are names to remember.
