And Carter was a senior on the 2017 state team, which would make him a 2018 grad. Great guy. Cousin to Sam Epplen, who was also recently an O-lineman for the Colonels. Carter also played football at Morehead State and has been coaching in the Colonel Youth Football organization.

Just went back and looked at the 2018 football roster...looks like he was a senior that season, so you're right, class of 2019. I had it in my head that he was a senior on the 2017 team.

Does anyone know whether Lee Teegarden is staying at Cov Cath or following Coach Brown to New Cath? If Teegarden is still at Cov Cath then that would mean our defensive unit has three former head coaches (all with past defensive coordinator experience) coaching: Mike Woolf, Lee Teegarden, and Brian Weinrich.

Teagarden is staying….our D should be scary next year…..with these coaches and the extreme talent in our front 7…..straight up scary.

Without being directly plugged in, I'm unsure exactly who we have on the football coaching staff at this point. Obviously there was Coach Brown's departure, and Coach Woolf, Coach Weinrich and Coach Black all coming on board. I'm not sure which other assistant coaches may have moved on or switched up the positions that they're handling.

I took a look at the post-season rosters submitted the KHSAA from the past couple of seasons and used those to make a little bit more of an educated guess at what the current Cov Cath coaching staff looks like. Anyone who has any corrections is welcome to chime in, especially in regard to which positions any of the guys listed as "varsity assistant" are helping with.

Offensive Line: Carter Black & Mark Reisiger
Wide Receivers:  Ben Patenaude

I'm glad to see the strength coach is actually a member of the coaching staff.   Not sure if that was the case the last 2 years.  I know when Atallah was there he was not part of the coaching staff and should have been or at least had some power over the players.

There is a wealth of experience on that coaching staff. Also, some ties back to the Bryson Warner Ryle days. I am curious about the status of Greg Ryan, as he is not listed on your coaching staff. He was another coach from the Warner tree. Has he moved on as well?

I honestly thought I had included Coach Ryan in there...that was an accidental omission. Great dude. I know he was definitely on the staff last year, and as far as I know he's still coaching at Cov Cath. I guess we'll find out a lot more when spring practice rolls around.
