So after reading through this I want to make sure I am tracking everything correctly.

OC who has played for a state championship three straight season and played a tougher schedule but none of that matters because they didn't win it.

Glasgow who didn't play as tough of a schedule and lost to UC who they shouldn't have lost to is equivalent to OC because they didn't win the title either?

Am I tracking this correctly?

Just want to add that the top 4 in RPI for 3A made the semi Finals. I believe giving your team the chance to be in the game is extremely important. OC has had a shot for 3 straight season while Glasgow hasn't even sniffed minus 2021 semi finals visit. But hey undefeated season is still pretty cool. 

Arnett knows what his team needs and will no doubt begin to schedule as he sees fit to benefit post season play. The argument that you have to play local or keep rivalries going will not benefit the program unless those teams can push you.

If you do what you’ve always done you get what you’ve always gotten. Seems like Gtown should try it a little different and maybe the results will follow.

So what would you think a good schedule would be Bowling Green South Warren Highlands Trinity St Xavier Owensboro and then the district.

I like that schedule for Douglass, Boyle, CAL, Ryle, and maybe a couple of others.

I don’t know if any team other than Trinity could do anything with that schedule.

I would add Logan co who they already scrimmage and probably one of the Warren County schools (either BG or SW) then probably a good 4 or 5A team that’s not in the backyard. Just my opinion but if you want to be a big time player you need to play big time games. Nothing like knowing the whole state is keeping an eye on you on Friday night.

Boyle plays Highlands and St X from that schedule. Ryle and Bowling Green declined. Owensboro pulled from the scrimmage. Trinity never replied. Don’t think there’s been any discussion between them and South Warren.

Crazy to me that anyone mentions beefing up the schedule and then people take it to an extreme. It’s the people that want to keep all the cupcake games cause they have always been played that seem to do it. Simple solution is add one or two of the teams mentioned or someone similar. You don’t have to make an entire schedule full of contenders to make your team better.

Glasgow beginning next year will have 4 district games if they schedule a couple of tough teams but no one wants them playing the local teams then who are they going to play in the other 4 games. It’s real easy to say schedule tough games but at some point you have to get people to play you and that’s hard to do when you are trying to schedule 4-6 out of area teams every year. If you guys had to schedule these games you might find it more difficult then just saying do it.

Arnett has enjoyed enough of that Tville BBQ and figured to be better off. I’m sure majority of alumni on both sides will miss that game and rightfully so, may not be too competitive but nothing like beating up on your third cousin or your step brother in between the lines. I remember when WC and BG finally decided to part ways, even though it felt criminal everyone around the area knew it had to stop.
 

Jokes aside, Glasgow being an independent school you still have to play the teams around your area. Allen, FS, Barren are three I believe they should play yearly, maybe try to add WE/WC next cycle? Then possibly adding one decent travel game with a top 2A,3A or middle of the road 4A,5A school.
