I have to believe Glasgow will right the defensive ship this week. Lots of inexperience on that side of the ball. Hopefully they will get better each week.

I think the Scotties have to prove a lot to be considered among the top of 3A. The talent is definitely there but will they lock in and show the toughness it takes to be a contender?

I would add Logan co who they already scrimmage and probably one of the Warren County schools (either BG or SW) then probably a good 4 or 5A team that’s not in the backyard. Just my opinion but if you want to be a big time player you need to play big time games. Nothing like knowing the whole state is keeping an eye on you on Friday night.

If you do what you’ve always done you get what you’ve always gotten. Seems like Gtown should try it a little different and maybe the results will follow.

If Glasgow wants to be a major player in 3A they have no choice but to improve their schedule. 10-0 last year and still finishing 6th in rpi is unacceptable.

Whether peculiar or not Glasgow needs to improve their schedule. I believe their rpi was 6th last year even though they were undefeated. Tells you everything you need to know about their schedule.

I get keeping Barren and to some extent maybe Allen if they get back to being competitive. But Monroe is a lose lose IMO. I don’t get the mentality of being satisfied with being the best team in the area excluding Warren County. The goal every year should be to do whatever it takes to win a championship.

I think any reasonable person would agree that Glasgow needs to toughen up the schedule if they want to be a player in 3A. If they continue to do what they’ve always they will undoubtedly get the results they’ve always gotten.

Glasgow desperately needs to toughen up the schedule if they want to be a serious contender. I think dropping 2a Monroe and picking up a little more of a marquee game would be a big step in the right direction. Also hopefully the district will lose at least one of the six teams and allow another matchup that gets them ready for postseason.

Don Franklin Bowl Aug 21 at Glasgow Barren Co vs. Clay Co Tn Glasgow vs. Southwestern

Allen will be a home game. Franklin will be on the road. They made the decision to go to Franklin last year because it rained all week and field conditions were horrible. Another reason to have turf.

My guess is the Rebels will be right back in the thick of things in 4A. As the Nature Boy said. To be the man you gotta beat the man. And the rebels definitely are the man.

My understanding is the parents are retiring from their business in Tampa and building their dream house in Glasgow. The kid had the opportunity to move with them and decided he’d like to have a normal hs experience get to spend the year before college with his family rather than being in Orlando.

With the success Glasgow had and with the Martin kid going to Missouri State kids will want to play for the Scotties. Proof that when you run a program the right way players these days will come.

Surprised Glasgow at Franklin Simpson is not on this list.

That is the rumor around Glasgow. Herron is planning to head to BC in a couple years. Can he bring the athletes with him is the question.

If Glasgow shows up ready to play it will be a short night in Columbia.

I think Glasgow should be in tier 5. Should reach the 700 win level this year.

What an ugly game. If Glasgow can get a handle on the penalties they can be really good. Penalties were the only thing that kept this game as close as it was

I believe Logan was up 21-7 after 3 quarters. Logan moved the ball well with lots of screens

Logan and Glasgow played 3 varsity quarters with Glasgow winning 47-7
