I would think UNC would give him something because of who he is the same way as Pistol Petes son sat on the bench at LSU because of who he was. Maybe they have offered but he feels he can really play somewhere. Think about the pressure on this kid. I say sure lets make him a WildCat

February 9, 200719 yr If he were to walk on somewhere, I think he tries to go to UNC before UK. I do agree that this would be a win-win for everyone involved and if there is a roster spot for Dwight Perry, then make one for MJ's son.

And that is that with UK's fanbase being so unreasonable and over the top, it would likely not be in the KID's best interest to come to Lexington. He will either be a token to be used and patronized or he will be judged way too harshly for what the blue blockers may see as a lack of ability to live up to his last name. I'd rather see him go somewhere more representative of his skill level because I think it will be in his best interest all the way around.

Michael Jordan's interest in Kentucky for his son could be because I could not imagine a better role model or father figure for a son than Orlando "Tubby" Smith. I know Michael has always been close with Roy Williams so I can't see him going to Kentucky before UNC.

The kid himself is probably looking to go higher than his skill level though.

February 9, 200719 yr MJ didn't blossom late. He didn't play varsity as a SOPH but grew 4 inches to about 6'3 before his JR year. He averaged about 21 PPG and then averaged 29 PPG as a SR. Didn't blossom late? :confused: In today's world with the beginning of the recruitment of kids in middle school and even in grade school, a kid that didn't make the high school team in the 10th grade and ends up one of the greatest of all time. If that isn't a late bloomer then I don't know what is.
