How would Anderson do in the Louisville or Lexington area? Who are they comparable to?

They were the DII runner-up in Ohio last year.  They would have easily been the best team in the Lexington area outside of maybe Boyle County if you would consider them to be in the Lexington area, but I think they were better than Boyle County.  In the Louisville area, I would say 2nd or 3rd best team behind Trinity and possibly / probably CAL.  They beat Cooper by a similar margin as to what Manual beat Cooper by last year.

In HSRatings.com they would be #2 in Kentucky and only 1 point below Trinity.

  • So many great programs are in Southwest Ohio that any KY team looking to “beef” up their schedule doesn’t have very far to travel. And it doesn’t have to be the private GCL schools. Public schools lik

So many great programs are in Southwest Ohio that any KY team looking to “beef” up their schedule doesn’t have very far to travel. And it doesn’t have to be the private GCL schools. Public schools like Anderson, Princeton, Winton Woods, Middletown, Wayne, Springfield, Lakota West, Kings, Taft, Withrow, etc. will give you all you can handle.

104 miles from Trinity to Anderson High School.  On another topic, I understand Coach Cobb has decided to return as head coach for 2026.

How much longer do you think Coach Cobb will coach at T?

Was there internal talk he would step down?

I understand 2026 will be Coach Cobb’s final season at Trinity. And TP94 yes, Coach Cobb recently decided to stay but it was unknown for certain …….he earned the right to think about his options.

In 2026 Coach Cobb enters his 13th year on the Trinity sideline. He has been a major part of 8 state championships (5 as defensive coordinator and 3 as head coach). If the upcoming season is indeed his final year before retirement, Rock Nation has been blessed to have this man be such an important part of Trinity Football success.

Cobb said he had a 3-year plan after being named head coach. I think he truly would have retired after this season with the 3 peat had it not been for what he has coming back and the opportunity to leave with 4 in a row. I have no insider info. Just my opinion.

Anderson this past season had mostly Juniors all start. They will be really good this year as Seniors!

Cobb has earned the right to leave on his own terms, whenever that may be.  He has done a good job.

Sometimes you have to let the cake bake.

4 years ago MANY of the Rock faithful were ready for a change.!

I was one of them. I've apologized profusely for my ignorance.
