Seems Carney has decided to stay at Trinity in the class of 2027 and has committed to Akron.

Glad to hear this!!!

Transfers Between High Schools Policy

BGP is not a clearinghouse or platform for speculation, rumors, or discussion of potential or anticipated student-athlete transfers.

The use of the terms “transfer portal” or “portal” to describe high school student-athletes is prohibited in all high school forums.

Only confirmed transfers may be discussed, and discussion must be strictly limited to factual reporting of the move (i.e., the student-athlete has transferred from School A to School B).

Permitted content is limited to basic factual information such as the athlete’s name, sport/position, and the schools involved.

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Any speculation, inference, or commentary regarding the reasons for a transfer.
• Any discussion, suggestion, or implication of recruiting, inducement, eligibility issues, or rule violations in connection with a transfer.
• Generalized commentary about schools, coaches, programs, or communities engaging in recruiting behavior based on transfer activity.
• Attempts to indirectly question or interpret motives behind a transfer.

No discussion of transfers is permitted unless the transfer has already been officially completed and publicly confirmed. Even in those cases, discussion must remain strictly factual and non-interpretive.

This forum is not the venue for reporting or debating KHSAA violations. If you believe a violation has occurred, report it directly to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA).

No false, unverified, or misleading information may be posted.

I’m told that WDRB plus once again will stream Trinity‘s home football games this season. That’s good news for those who can’t make the game.

Thank you and that is awesome news, WDRB+ is very professional and high quality.

The entire stream is done by Trinity students. The announcers are our own. Pretty impressive for high school kids.

Definitely a solid model for all schools.

Other than the commercials, what the viewer sees at home on a Trinity/WDRB broadcast is the same content fans see inside Marshall Stadium on the massive Trinity video board. WDRB then takes the Trinity radio call of the game and overlays it onto the video content. A wonderful partnership between Trinity and WDRB.

Not long now! This should be a very exciting final season for Coach Cobb, with some new opponents and old foes. Can't wait to watch the '26 Rocks take the field.

Has Coach Cobb made that official?

Yes.

Not to wish the time away or jump way ahead of this thread, but does anyone know when the search will begin for his successor? Will they look during the season or wait until it is official? Hoping for another national search but also would have faith in a home-grown guy.

I will believe it when I see it, especially after that chatter over the past few years. However, I would think if and when Cobb hangs it up, defensive coordinator Michael Fox would be the front-runner for the job.

Loved him as an engineering teacher and love what he’s doing for the STEM and football programs!
