2026 Trinity Shamrocks

If I am reading the list correctly, since Trinity won its first championship in '68, the only Graduating classes that haven't won at least one state championship in football are the Class of '99, '00. That is totally absurd. WOW! Correct me if I get the football season/graduating class mixed up.

In HSRatings.com they would be #2 in Kentucky and only 1 point below Trinity.

  • So many great programs are in Southwest Ohio that any KY team looking to “beef” up their schedule doesn’t have very far to travel. And it doesn’t have to be the private GCL schools. Public schools lik

You are correct. Streak ended by St Xavier's 3-0 win in 1997 State Final.

Trinity will be fortunate to be in top 6 in RPI in 6A with 5 games versus out of state teams. Many Kentucky schools turned down the opportunity to scrimmage Trinity, let alone schedule a regular season contest.

Nothing new there. Been that way for years.

You run through that schedule undefeated, looking at a National Championship. I just hope that they get through it injury free. A lot of monsters for Godzilla to face...

Undefeated would be nice but the 2 games I have circled are the Moeller and Cincy X games at home. IMO the Rocks were the better team in both those losses last year and I am looking for redemption.

Is this the toughest schedule Trinity has ever had? 2011 was a tough one but I think this one is stronger.

My vote would be for the 2011 schedule because the District opponents then (X, Male, Manual) are much tougher than the District opponents now (Ballard, Eastern, Oldham County). The out of state opponents for either 2011 or 2026 are top notch.

Need to wait and see, IMO. The 2011 team was the best Kentucky football team ever assembled and absolutely torched a brutal schedule. The 2026 team will have some terrific talent, but the losses at OL and LB will make this a tough comparison to gauge.

The better question for me would be is '26 Baylor the best team Trinity has ever faced? In that discussion for me would be '94 Indy Ben Davis, '07 Cincinnati St. X, 2000 Highlands and maybe '14 Nashville Ensworth.

I saw Coach Cobb was on hand for Kentucky's first football practice. He was on the UK Video getting welcomed by Will Stein.

Good start to camp season for DT Sebastian Blue

The Rocks completed spring practice yesterday. From all accounts the depth they have at running back, receivers and defensive secondary is ridiculous. There is immense talent all over those units. A 4 year starting QB, a couple of dudes at DL and LB, and a place kicker who is good to 55/60 yards.  Wow. The primary question is how will a young and inexperienced OL progress vs the most challenging regular season schedule in the state.
