Summary of 2025- Trinity completed the 2025 season as KHSAA 6A State Champions; a 3rd straight state championship for the Rocks and the 30th football state championship in school history. Trinity ended the season with a record of 13-2.  They scored on average 41.8 points per game and allowed on average 9.8 points per game; both of those stats were #1 in class 6A.

Outlook for 2026 - Coach Jay Cobb and the Shamrocks graduate several key lineman on both sides of the ball. At the same time the team returns many other starters on both sides of the ball and on special teams. Trinity is especially loaded with a returning 3 year starter at QB, along with several skill players and defensive backs. The schedule will be as challenging as it always is with a couple of year over year changes in opponents.

Key players who graduate - Dakari , Beckman, OL, Keanthony Calloway, DL, Jahbarri Frost, DL, Sony Bratcher Gray, DB, AJ Hughes, LB, Brennen Lowe, LB, Holden Schoen, TE, Nate Shields, OL, Keandre Thompson, DL, Cross Watson, WR.

Offense: Key players who return - Jamaurion Berry, RB, Jayce Duvall, WR, Jason Hagan, WR, Zane Johnson, QB, Kvon Saunders, OL, Romelle Spearman, RB, John Stivers, TE, Ashton Taylor, RB, Kaleb Warner, WR, Chris Kehdy, PK/P

Defense: Key players who return- Sebastian Blue, DL, Elijah Burns-Crump, DB, Juleone Carney, DL, LA Evans, DB, Myles Howze, DB, Sekou Kamara, DB, Matt Lococo, LB, Luke Vize, LB, Peyton Hilbert, P/PK

Newcomers from the 2025 Freshman and JV teams who might make an impact on 2026 varsity - Isaac Byers, QB, Jahshua Frost, LB/DB, Chase Harley, LB, Robert Haskins, WR, Jay Jurich, DB, Jermiah Quick, DB, Isaac Sorg, DB, Conner Stivers, OL

2026 Schedule - Discussions are underway with Trinity to excuse PRP, Frederick Douglass and Carmel from previously contracted games for various reasons all initiated by those schools. Trinity typically will formally announce the schedule in the February/March timeframe. For now, this is how it looks.

8/21 TBA

8/28 Christian Brothers (MO)

9/4 Moeller (OH)

9/11 TBA

9/18 Male

9/25 St. Xavier (at UL)

10/2 St. Xavier (OH)

10/9 Ballard (D)

10/16 at Eastern (D)

Key question for 2026 - How quickly can the offensive and defensive lines come together and be effective units with several new players filling spots in these units?

Key strengths for 2026 - The offensive skill positions, the defensive secondary and the special teams units should be as strong as any in the state and likely the midwest region of the country.

In my mind I kept thinking Zane was a senior this year. That young man is extremely talented and fun to watch. Any idea what his plans for the next level are?

8/28 is confirmed Christian Brothers in St. Louis.

I got caught once too thinking Zane was a senior this year.  One more year!!

Since 8-21 and 9-11 aren't filled, what are some realistic opinions as to who they might play? Both OOS? 1 in, 1 out?

Is this a two year deal? They come to St. Matt's in 2027?

Bump.

Allen Evans will be making his college choice today.

Allen Evans is staying home and going to Louisville.

Love the game and the announcement missed the Cincinnati St. Xavier 17-14 win over Trinity last year.

That is a classy and respectful poster. I love the hype they give Trinity. My only concern is having to travel the first 2 weeks of the season.

How would Anderson do in the Louisville or Lexington area? Who are they comparable to?
