Final. One of the worst and ugliest losses I can remember in a long-time watching Kentucky. Very sad!
 

 

Just saw Gonzaga 1st team in history that is ranked in AP poll and lost by 30 and win by 30 to back-to-back ranked teams.

P-i-t-i-f-u-l...just pitiful.

Well people said they were done with getting one and done freshman players. They wanted more players that didn’t care about the NBA, and cared more about the name on the jersey. Wanted more Kentucky players on the roster. 
 

We have gotten what a lot of people said they wanted. Unfortunately we have now seen for two years for concerning trends, with getting down double digits against good teams. Last year luckily they came back to win a few of those games. Not so much this year, as that is definitely a bad trend to follow. 
 

Pope is a great person, the right attitude, cares about the program. However, he better get things figured out because this is bad. I know injuries is an issue, but the fact he is the one who put together this roster, and only has one true pg isn’t the best roster construction. 
 

I know people didn’t like how much Cal yelled. However, it seems like this team could use some of that yelling to play tougher. 
 

Good news is, it’s not like they are losing to bad teams. If they get JQ back, it should definitely make them tougher. Just very concerning that some of the trends from last year have carried over. 

Wow.  Did not expect a result like this.  I figured a close game that could go either way.

Give them boys some more NIL money and they will start playing like a real team.FYI…..it’s only gonna get worse.

The sad part is, I didn’t think Gonzaga played all that well. And even at that, the final score was closer than it should have been..

I've been watching Kentucky basketball for 30 years and this was the worst game I've ever seen UK play from start to finish.  We can't shoot and there seems to be no urgency on defense.  If Pope can't get this figured out, it's going to get ugly by mid-January.

KY has no post play. Moreno, Garrison and others play soft.

He said it best. Hopefully this is a true wake up call for this team. 
 

 

I saw this and then looked it up to verify.  Through 45 games at UK, Mark Pope is 29-16.  Through 45 games at UK, Billy Gillispie was 29-16.

That’s pretty wild. Despite that, it’s not THAT bad for Pope.

At this point of BCG’s second year, there were some tough games out of the gate (won and lost some), but Jodie Meeks and Patrick Patterson were providing a sense of hopefulness. Who are our hopeful guys? Colin Chandler and Jasper Johnson?

They got things rolling, had a fee few injuries, and it cratered down the stretch in a weak SEC going 8-8, finishing 22-14. If this year’s squad continues on the path they’ve been on, 15-16 wins is realistic.

Luckily the SEC isn’t as strong this year as it was last.
