Thug look by LCA, but who’s surprised. It starts at the top, it’s always been this way with them.

Yes. In most sports in order to host postseason region tournaments, etc. you have to turn in a bid to the KHSAA in order  to host and prove that your facilities are up to standards for the competing teams. At a minimum the region AD’s will vote on host schools for region tourneys. Football doesn’t have those standards since home teams host playoff games but this seems like it should be a minimum requirement to host or the home team has to pick another site (the home team being able to pick a site other than their own stadium is already in the bylaws).

This is an administration issue. If the AD can’t or won’t allow a visiting team proper accommodations, it’s inexcusable. If there is no recourse for this situation, Julian Tackett needs to be drug out he carpet.

Very shady. They shouldn’t be able to host playoff games anymore. 

Waiting for the rest of the story but at a minimum, trailers should be provided for the visiting team or something so they have a warm spot to gather at the half.

If this turns out to be true, that's one of the saddest examples of poor sportsmanship I've heard of in memory.

The visitors locker room at LCA is a pretty good walk from the field. Are we sure Belfry didn’t just choose to not go? As a former coach who has coached against LCA at their place before, we did not go to the locker room at halftime. Granted, it wasn’t freezing cold when we went, but still. Just thinking of all potential options here. 

So I've got 2 younger brothers who've played games/scrimmages at LCA within the last 4 years one of whom played there 2x this year and I asked him about the locker room situation. He told me that whenever they've played there at halftime they stayed outside behind the bleachers. I've attached a picture. The away lockeroom (red) is in the school building in what appears to be the gym so possibly the visiting lockroom for boys basketball if not just in the open gym? So Belfry would've had to spend a large portion of their halftime just walking to and from the locker room. The LCA lockeroom (blue) is by the softball field. He also told me it's very small and that whenever he's played at LCA as the home team (bowl games) they struggled to fit the team inside that locker room at halftime with some players having to stand outside.

So from the looks of it LCA did not lock Belfry out of a lockroom but they do need to invest in a larger field house, because a visiting team having to choose between freezing outside during halftime or spending half of their half time walking to and from the locker room is very unfair. They have the space for it and I'm sure they've got the money for it as well.

Yes, this is exactly how it was for us when we played there. A long walk where you would spend most of halftime walking instead of actually able to make adjustments for the game. I refuse to believe they actually locked Belfry out of the locker room. Heck, they gave us a key to the locker room before the game started so we could get in if we wanted, but we chose not to due to the long walk. LCA was nothing but class in my coaching experiences against them.  

But yes, I do agree that they need to invest in something closer to the field and bigger in size.  

Boyle does the same thing as far as where the visiting team dresses. The walk is just long enough to make you second guess going in.
