I BEEN TRYING TO TELL YALL!!!!

I was thinking of you during the game. You called it a while ago. It’s hard to believe it when you hear the same thing 3 yrs in a row and get the same result. But this year is different.

I saw them play Boyle. Their defense is unreal. Speed everywhere and size. Hobbs is the truth.

Hobbs was EVERYWHERE. Him and Grundy?(RB) were game breakers tonight along with really efficient QB play. I’d be nervous if I was Pulaski.

Atherton looks like the best team left with Owensboro and Wofo pretty close behind.  Atherton will pulverize Pulaski and will be a tough matchup with O/Wofo in the finals.  Congrats Ravens huge win!

Congrats again Ravens (still think of them as the Rebels!)

Surprised me that's for sure. They are legit.

As I reflect on the game last night, I’m of the opinion that was the most thorough beating that Bowling Green has taken in quite some time.

I can’t recall the last time that I watched a Purples team get consistently whipped up front like they were for the majority of the year. The way Atherton dominated on the ground was a microcosm of the entire season. BGHS looked soft, and they paid the price for it. They deserve immense credit.

Offensively, Briscoe and Hobbs are elite level talents but if you ask me the most impressive player last night had to be Grundy. I’ll also say that if Atherton doesn’t have three turnovers and 100 yards in penalties this could’ve likely been worse and that is hard to imagine but it’s the truth.

Defensively, they made Anthony Davis look like a freshman. Which I knew there were going to be some tough moments for him when you consider the level of competition, but sheesh, he really got the bare minimum amount of support to try and remedy situations.

To close, the Purples will be back, I don’t know if it will be next year because they lose quite a bit. I also don’t know who BG has to throw the ball to in 2026. A lot of questions going forward that will need to be answered. This is the KY HS football cycle though, you’re on top of the mountain for a few years and then you naturally pull back to the pack and get humbled. It happens - but the way this humbling took place, along with the results from the season, it was simply tough to watch.  I trust Mark Spader, because he has given fans and players every reason to do so. Winning has and will always be hard, don’t take it for granted!

Congratulations to the Ravens and good luck going forward.

Go Purples!

⬆️⚫️ The Ravens' win flies them into the Top 25 for the first time in this morning's hsratings.com rankings, entering at #21. Their (+11) from last week is the largest rank gain in The Bluegrass. Fly Ravens!
