Has Campbell even started the interview process yet? Any other names being mentioned? As it has been pretty quiet on that front, compared to what we are hearing out of Scott. As it looks like Scott is going to announce a new coach today or tomorrow.

I shared all I know on Campbell.

On Scott, I don't believe that is correct.

I don't believe so either. Especially if there is a teaching position that might be tied to the Scott job. Based on my experience, I wouldn't expect the Scott job to get filled until after the first of the year.

Word is Honaker will be announced as the new Campbell Co head coach in January once school is back in session! 

Is this a perfect storm for Campbell? Get an experienced coach and Campbell guy to come back. Sounds like a way to bring this program back to where it was historically.

Where has it been historically? 

Coach Honaker is the best X & O coach that I've ever worked with in high school football.

If I remember right, they were pretty darn good in the late 70's 80's and 90's. Their exact records I'm not sure about, but it was better then the last 10 I'm sure.

Coach Honaker, a CCHS alumnus, has been selected as the new head football coach at Campbell County High School. Coach Honaker is a native of Wilder, KY, and grew up playing football for the Red Devils and Campbell County High School. He is entering his 23rd year of coaching, bringing experience at both the high school level (Kentucky and Georgia) and the collegiate level (Heidelberg University and Thomas More University). He has coached in state championship games, as well as in collegiate playoffs, having served as a Head Coach, Assistant Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, and Special Teams Coordinator.

His passion for the game and focus on academics, athletics, and citizenship will help build a solid foundation for the Camel football program at all levels. He and his wife, Kristin, will be bringing their family of six children back to the Campbell County community.
