I’m glad you are on board, but last week you were worried O would lose to Madisonville.  You’re finally drinking the koolaid.  Woodford and Scott are solid teams, as is Cooper.  I. Think the top 5 teams have a chance.  That said I think the final 4 are BG, O, Woodford and Cooper.  We will see how they shake out.  BG has the most ground to make up of the 4 but I would think Cooper/O in finals, unless Woodford or BG beats Cooper round 4.  Scott, Atherton, Apollo may have a say in final 4, but I think BG will handle Apollo and Atherton (they will get both - and Atherton on the road).  Scott has a good chance to make semis.  O will get round 4 at Rash and I think they win that.  Should be interesting playoffs in 5A.

I agree it’s not a given - those would be good games.  That said I think you can reverse your comment “Owensboro has better players, a better offense, and a better defense than anyone Woodford or Scott county has beaten”.

I’ve watched some Scott county and Woodford during the year - although definitely not all or even most.  I have NOT been super impressed with either’s defense.  And this was probably because they were competitive games.  I personally think Woodford/Cooper/Owensboro are the top 3 -with Scott County and BG lurking in the shadows.  I think there is enough parity that a Atherton or Scott County could get to semis.  Not probably but possible.  Scott has such a tough road with Cooper Round 2.

I picked it a little closer but I’ve always been on board. I was on board when some parents were about to walk off the island.

I agree. 5A is still pretty wide open in my opinion. The 5A postseason is going to be interesting and fun to follow.

How bad are the defenses that Owensboro has beaten? Scott County has given up 921 yards of offense, and 97 points just in the last 2 weeks. 

I am not sure why Woodford gets so little respect from posters. They have earned that #1 ranking. Their only loss was by 2 TD's to a team comparable to Manual.  Not sure how you jump anyone over them as long as they keep winning. Woodford plays Ballard this Friday so there will be a challenge to them winning and staying #1.

I wouldn't put Madisonville's Defense on that list at all. They gave up 110 points against us and Apollo.

Who is Coach McKee? Does he Coach somewhere? I know he doesn't Coach at Owensboro. 

I maintain that 5A is Woodford's to lose, but for folks to think 5A is wide open is puzzling. You got Wofo, OB and Cooper. And based on tradition, BG is a dark horse, but they won't get past the 4th round at best.
